Widgets - Smart widgets now available to add to your iPhone screens and lock screens. Improved calendar setting controls - Only calendar owners were able to synchronize their Hest calendar to pull latest events from their phones. With this update, any member that has the same calendar should be able to trigger synchronization. Assignee filtering on tasks - We recently started offering support for filtering task by categories. In this version, we took it a step further by allowing filtering by multiple categories instead of one. And also, you may now filter by different assignees. Improved event assignee filtering - We now default to showing a household event that shows all household activities in the calendar view. It can be filtered to show events and tasks assigned to a specific member. Improvements - If a user had skipped calendar access approval, we don’t just show a warning when they try to add a calendar again. We attempt to help them with this by showing a dialog for approving permissions. If permission had been explicitly denied before and we can’t show the permission dialog, we link directly to the settings for this. - Get notified when family members add or modify records - Task details screen now allow archiving and completion/incompletion. The archived detail view no longer shows “task not found” but a read-only task info and a button to unarchive. - Private calendars cannot get assigned to other members. - Fix an unwanted background in event add/edit screens.

Private calendars - Members of a household may now choose to add a calendar that is hidden from the rest of the household. This is different from when a household member chooses to hide a calendar from their view. With this new feature, other members will never know the other calendar exists. Sync timestamps - We now show the last time a calendar was synced. This came with some other platform improvements for how syncing is handled. Better deletion of recurring events - When an event is recurring deleting it would no longer just delete all of its occurrence instantly, it would ask if the user wants to deleter single event, following occurrences, or all occurrences. Shake to undo - We don't permanently delete immediately. You have 15 seconds to undo many actions. This is not limited to destructive actions. It includes uncomplying a task, archiving a task, etc. Notifications open content when clicked - When some push notifications were sent for tasks or system broadcasts, we were previously not observing for them when the user clicks them to gain more information. This led to clicking and seeing the app like nothing ever happened. We improved this experience for task reminders and system notifications. Clickable calendar color indicators - In the default calendar view, clicking on the color indicators now expand to show what calendars are integrated.

Advanced/Custom Calendar event recurring options - You can now select multiple specific days in a week for recurrence, pick an interval of days for an event to reoccur, and more options including yearly intervals. Seamless login to feedback platform - We use Featurebase to take feedback from you. If you’ve tried to submit a feature, you may have changed your mind after learning that an additional login is required. With this new update, you’ll be automatically logged in to give feedback. Timezone based tasks - Tasks are now connected to the timezone set for the active user. When the timezone settings change, the task due dates should adjust to show based on your current timezone as they are saved in UTC. When location is changed, tasks are still based on the user’s timezone. To see them adjust, we suggest that you update the timezone when you go to the user settings. Limit tasks shown on the default calendar view - We now only show 2 tasks on the default calendar view. This is to keep that view less cluttered as we can also see all tasks on the task tab. Recurring tasks - There are some tasks that repeat. To save time having to recreate these on every recurrence, we’ve added some recurrence options to tasks. They are not quite as robust as the calendar recurring options yet. Tasks with due date and no due time - You may set a task with a due date and skip the due time if you don’t want one. Month indicators on calendar strip - When navigating through the days of the month in previous versions, users could find themselves not knowing which month they’re in. We’ve added month indicators to show the active month for the day. Recipe types - You can select between drinks and meal when creating recipes. This also allows for filtering by meals or drinks. Bug and UI fixes - We fixed a bug where the action menu on configuring household members had an opaque background and another little bug where the top menu on meals screen starts with the tab off-screen.

- Added notification listeners to make your push notifications take you to specific content in the app instead of simply landing on any page of the app - Support for broadcast notifications - Users now get reminded for tasks they are assigned to. If there is no assignee, the creator gets the reminders when a due date is set. - Categorization of tasks was added. Includes categories like Chores, Errands, Work, Health etc. - Task details got a new look.

- Graceful fallback for meal plans containing a deleted recipe - Improved push notifications to function as expected and notify members of when they are assigned to task, meals, and when household members leave - Simpler deletion of records. You can delete records immediately you view the records instead of going to the edit screen. - An issue where scrolling fast on edit screens can keep the scroll locked to the bottom of the screen. - Left swipe gesture for deletion on tasks is now also available for records, meal plans, and recipes.
