Sharper results, smoother batches. Cleaner edges • Upscaled photos now keep crisp, clean borders. We fixed a faint dark line that could appear along the edges of 2x Enhanced and Ultra results, and transparent PNGs keep their edges fully solid. Noise Reduction that just works • Noise Reduction no longer warns that a regular photo is too large. Pick a photo, tap Enhance, and get a clean result at full size. Faster, lighter Batch • Select dozens of photos and Batch stays quick and light, even with very large images. Your screen stays on while a batch runs, so you can let it work without touching your phone. Smoother sharing • Sharing large results no longer pauses the app. Your enhanced photo is ready to send in moments. Clearer messages • If a photo can't be loaded, for example while it's still downloading from iCloud, SharpUpscale now tells you what happened and what to try next. Plus accurate processing times in History and many small stability improvements. Enjoying SharpUpscale? A quick rating on the App Store helps us keep making it better.

Upscale from Shortcuts. - New: the "Upscale Image" action for Shortcuts. No more waiting while the AI gets ready after you install or update the app. - Ultra is ready sooner the first time you use it. - More reliable if the app is closed while it is getting ready. - Performance and stability improvements.

Faster upscaling and a rebuilt quality ladder. New AI models for 4x and 8x • Two new models trained on real world photos replace the old ones. Standard, Enhanced and Ultra now each use a different model, so the quality you pick is the quality you get. Edges, hair and fine textures look cleaner and more natural. Ultra, rebuilt • Ultra now runs two different AI models over your photo and combines them, keeping the detail both agree on. The extra smoothing pass that could leave skin and textures looking waxy is gone. Much faster • Processing now runs on the Neural Engine with a smarter tiling scheme. Everyday modes finish about three times sooner, and Ultra is up to thirteen times faster than in the previous version. Also in this update • Support for iOS 27 • Faster Noise Reduction • Processing starts right away because the AI gets ready while you choose your settings • Smaller download • A clear message when your device is low on storage, instead of stopping without warning • Mode cards no longer change size when you switch between them

BIGGER UPSCALES, LESS WAITING • The upscaling engine has been rebuilt around a new memory system that streams results to disk instead of holding an entire image in RAM. Large upscales that used to run out of memory now finish, and everyday ones are far lighter on your device. A shared graphics context, smarter tile blending and a leaner model cache trim the overhead on every render. TRANSPARENCY, FIXED • Upscaling a PNG with a transparent background could produce a broken result, with the picture shrunk into one corner and black patches where the cut-out should be. Transparent images now upscale cleanly at full size, and exporting one to JPEG flattens it onto white instead of leaving dark holes behind. TEXT AT YOUR SIZE • Every control on the main screen now follows your text size setting, all the way up to the largest accessibility sizes. • Buttons reflow instead of clipping, labels wrap instead of truncating, and the selected mode is marked with a checkmark rather than colour alone. • VoiceOver reads the mode picker, the scale buttons and the quality settings, and the before-and-after slider can be adjusted with a swipe. • Reduce Motion is respected, and background animation stands down while a render is running so every cycle goes into your photo. YOUR RENDER, PROTECTED • The screen now stays awake while an upscale is in progress, and the app asks iOS for a moment of grace if you switch away. Tapping Cancel shows a Cancelling state and waits for the work to actually stop, so a second job can never pile on top of the first. Nothing is saved for a job you chose to stop, and it does not spend one of your free daily upscales. BATCH YOU CAN TRUST • Cancelling a batch stops it properly instead of leaving work running out of sight. Changing your selection mid-run no longer mixes up results. • Photos too large for your device are skipped with a clear explanation rather than failing without one, and finished batch images are saved to your history alongside everything else. SHARPER EXPORTS • An estimated file size now appears next to each format before you export, without waiting for a full encode. Shared files get their own temporary space and are cleaned up automatically, so exporting no longer quietly fills your storage.

Your iPhone photos now stay HEIC end-to-end - the format you shoot in is the format you keep. Enjoy smaller file sizes, full quality, and no silent JPEG conversions. Improved: Full Metadata Preservation • Capture date, GPS location, camera details, and color profiles are now retained in every enhanced photo • Your Photos library stays organized, and memories remain correctly placed on the map Improved: Smarter Batch Processing • HEIC is now the default format for batch enhancements • Metadata is preserved individually for each photo Improved: Sharing • Sharing via the system share sheet now includes full metadata • Your photos are recognized by other apps just like the originals Thank you for using SharpUpscale.

Meet Noise Reduction - a brand-new AI preset that removes grain, digital noise, and compression artifacts from your photos while keeping every fine detail intact. Unlike upscaling, it works at the original resolution, making it ideal for high-ISO shots, old scans, and screenshots. Batch processing now has its own dedicated tab, making it easier than ever to queue up to 50 photos and enhance them all at once - available with SharpUpscale Pro. We also fixed a bug where PNG images with transparent areas could produce incorrect output, and improved processing stability across all presets.

This update brings a significantly improved comparison experience and a smoother overall workflow. Before & After Viewer - Now with Full Zoom and Pan • The comparison slider has been rebuilt from the ground up. Pinch to zoom in on any area of your photo, then pan freely to inspect fine details - all while keeping the divider fully draggable. Double-tap to reset the view instantly. Faster Processing Start • AI models now load in the background without blocking the interface. The app stays fully responsive while your enhancement gets ready to run. Smarter Resolution Warnings • If your chosen upscale factor would exceed your device's processing limit, the app now shows a clear warning directly below the scale selector - before you tap Enhance - so you can adjust settings without interruption. Stability and Polish • Various interface improvements, more accurate progress reporting during processing, and fixes to ensure the enhancement job never silently stalls when switching between screens.
