Apple Watch now shows Car and Walk side by side for each place. Tap either button to open Apple Maps with that travel mode. Added Walk to the iPhone One-touch screen. Only places enabled with their Apple Watch switch appear on Watch, independently of iPhone long-press shortcuts. Initial coordinate-sharing permission and sync are required. No per-trip iPhone approval is needed; Apple Maps may require a start action, permissions and connectivity.

After opting in once, open pinned driving destinations directly in Apple Maps on Apple Watch. Only coordinates and Home, Work or favorite-number labels are synced. No per-trip iPhone approval. Data expires 24 hours after sync; stopping and deletion apply at the next sync. Transit and saved-route recalculation are excluded. Removed saved-route selection and the Recalculate & start buttons from Watch. Select saved routes, recalculate and start runs on iPhone.

Start a run after calculation and mark visits completed or absent, with undo. Progress stays on-device for up to 8 hours and ends on recalculation. On supported iPhones (iOS 18+), show the original plan and remaining stops in a Live Activity. Destination names are hidden by default. Send completed, absent or undo actions from Watch; they remain unsynced until applied on iPhone. Select a saved route, then confirm on iPhone to recalculate departing now. Match the Apple Watch number on the iPhone One-touch and confirmation screens.
