Crypto Gallery is the calm private photo vault and video vault that hides your personal pictures and videos behind Face ID and a strong passcode. This secret gallery app keeps every photo and every video encrypted on your iPhone using AES 256 GCM so only you can open the vault. No cloud. No account. No server. No tracking. No ads.
Crypto Gallery is an offline encrypted gallery for iPhone and iPad. Use it as a hidden photo vault, a private video locker, a secret picture album, a passcode protected image safe, a Face ID locked gallery, and a private diary for memories you do not want anyone else to see.
KEY FEATURES
Private photo vault and private video vault. Import photos and videos from your camera roll and store them inside an encrypted sandbox on device.
Face ID and Touch ID unlock. Open your private gallery with one look or one touch. Fall back to a six to eight digit passcode you choose yourself.
AES 256 GCM encryption. Every file is encrypted with industry standard authenticated encryption before it reaches the disk.
Per item data key. Every picture and video has its own unique key sealed inside your master vault key so a single exposed file cannot break the rest of the gallery.
Secure Enclave support. On supported iPhones Face ID unlock is backed by the Secure Enclave hardware key store.
Offline only. No account. No login. No registration. No cloud sync. No iCloud upload. No telemetry. No analytics. No advertising network. The app works completely offline.
Auto lock. The vault locks immediately when you switch apps or put the iPhone to sleep, so a quick glance never exposes your private pictures.
Background privacy cover. When you return to the app switcher Crypto Gallery shows a privacy mask instead of a screenshot of your gallery.
Import from Photos. The system picker lets you choose many photos and videos at once. You can optionally remove the originals from the camera roll after a confirmed import so sensitive media lives only inside the vault.
Bulk selection. Favorite, delete, or export many items in one gesture.
Safe export. Share selected items back to Photos, Files, AirDrop, or any app, only when you decide.
Dense date grouping. The encrypted photo gallery groups items by Today, Yesterday, weekday, month, and year, the same calm rhythm that Apple Photos uses.
Pinch to change density. Zoom the grid from two to five columns with a natural pinch gesture, just like a native Photos app.
Premium calm design. SwiftUI native, light mode and dark mode, thoughtful haptics, reduce motion support, VoiceOver ready.
HONEST SECURITY ARCHITECTURE
A master encryption key is generated on first launch and wrapped with a key derived from your passcode using PBKDF2 HMAC SHA 256 with three hundred ten thousand iterations. When you enable Face ID the same master key is also wrapped with a Secure Enclave backed key so biometric unlock is fast and hardware protected.
Each photo and each video carries its own per item data key that is sealed under the master key. Thumbnails are encrypted. The vault index is encrypted. Temporary files created during import, export, and playback are removed when the related view closes.
All vault files live in the app sandbox, are marked as excluded from iCloud backup, and carry the complete unless open data protection class. When you delete the app, the iOS sandbox and the associated keychain items are removed with it. If you forget your passcode and did not export your media, the content cannot be recovered. We choose to be honest about this rather than promise magic.
