Blur anything, not just faces. This update rebuilds the photo editor around the way people actually use it. Zoom and move, finally • Pinch to zoom in on the detail you care about, and drag with two fingers to move the photo. Two fingers work in every mode, so you can zoom right in, paint precisely, and still reach the corners of the frame. Zoom now happens around the point you pinch instead of the centre of the screen. Double tap to fit. See the real result before you save • A new Preview button hides every box and button so you can check your work as it will actually be exported. No more saving the file just to find out whether something got covered. A brush that fits your photo • Brush size is now set as a share of the photo rather than a fixed number of pixels, so one setting feels the same on a screenshot and on a 48 megapixel camera shot. A ring on the photo shows the size while you drag. Move, resize and delete any area • Tap a box to select it, drag it where it belongs, pull a corner to resize, or remove it outright. Areas you draw by hand survive a second face scan. Secure blur • An ordinary blur only rearranges pixels and can in principle be reversed. Secure mode reduces the area to coarse blocks first, so the detail is gone for good. Use it for anything you publish, file or hand to someone else. Invert the selection • Keep one person sharp and cover the crowd, or hide everything around your subject. Blur strength that you can actually see • The intensity slider was rebuilt so every step changes the result by the same amount. The difference is now visible across the whole range instead of only near the ends, and edges are softened rather than cut out square. Video gets manual control • Draw an area over the video and it stays covered for the whole clip, even when the face scan finds nothing. Export is no longer a dead end. Real-time video tracking • Face overlays now follow the playhead as you scrub, so what you see always matches the exact frame being edited. Correct photo orientation in batch processing • Portrait photos now retain their proper orientation when processed and saved. Clear video loading errors • If a video can’t be loaded, you’ll now see an error message instead of a stuck loading state. Reliable export progress • Fixed an issue where the video export progress bar could stall on some devices.
