Hey! I built Orso because I was tired of grinding English out of textbooks and wanted an app I could just talk to — a couple of minutes a day, in between everything else. Here's what came out of it.
SPEAK OUT LOUD
You read a phrase, say it — and Orso listens and tells you whether you nailed it. It's not a "pick the right option" quiz, it's real speech: you actually say English out loud instead of just silently recognizing it.
BUILD THE PHRASE LIKE A GAME
Don't know a phrase? Build it from shuffled words with a few extra ones thrown in. It sticks in your head far better than just peeking at the answer.
THE COURSE ADAPTS TO YOU
You start with simple words, then move to phrases and full sentences. Cruising through? Orso raises the bar. Starting to stumble? It brings back the easier stuff. You don't set anything up — it finds your level on its own.
ANY TOPIC YOU NEED
Heading on a trip, prepping for an interview, or just hooked on some word? Type a topic or a list of words and Orso generates a set of phrases with translation and pronunciation. Not enough? It makes more. You learn exactly what you need.
WORDS RIGHT ON YOUR SCREEN
Put a widget on your lock or home screen, and every time you unlock your phone you catch a new word. Plus a "word of the day" with a reminder at a time that suits you. The language sinks in on its own, no dedicated study sessions.

• 800+ new phrases to say out loud — now over 2,000, from single words
to full sentences, each with a pronunciation guide.
• Set a daily goal. Five minutes of talking a day is enough, and the app
now counts your minutes and keeps your streak going.
• Stuck on a word? Skip it and it won't come back. Some words are hard
for speech recognition no matter how well you say them — hide them and
move on. You can restore them any time in Settings.
• The course stops leaving easy cards behind, so a session opens with a
warm-up instead of a wall of long sentences.
• Fixed a crash when starting the microphone.
