Code Forge: Code Games Quizzes

Learn coding, game making

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Learn to code, build games, and write shaders. Run real code right in the app and test what you know with quick quizzes. Code Forge teaches you programming the way you'd actually want to learn it: short lessons, real code you can run, and small challenges that keep your brain awake. The app is built around three paths. 1. Programming basics Start from zero with TypeScript. Variables, functions, classes, conditionals, loops, lists, dictionaries, randomness, and the rest of the foundations. Every concept comes with a runnable example. Change the code, hit run, and see what happens. The built-in compiler turns each lesson into a tiny playground instead of a wall of text. 2. Game development Once the basics click, you move into how games actually work. What a game engine is. The game loop. Update vs fixed update. Delta time. Input, state, simple physics. You'll read and tweak real examples, and by the final chapters you're putting small games together yourself. 3. Shaders The last path goes into the part most tutorials skip. What a shader is, how vertex and fragment stages fit together, the math behind them, and the small algorithms that make things glow, ripple, or distort. Examples are interactive so you can poke at the numbers and watch the picture change. Mini challenges at the end of each chapter Every lesson ends with optional mini games and short puzzles. Pattern matching, quick logic rounds, small coding tasks. Quizzes A separate quiz mode lets you test what stuck. Questions cover programming, game dev, and shaders, sorted by topic, so you can drill the area you're less sure about instead of guessing through everything. Who it's for - Beginners who want a calm, structured way into programming without buying a textbook - Self-taught developers who want to finally understand game loops and shaders - Students who want extra practice alongside their college courses - Anyone who learned to code years ago and wants a refresher with real examples What makes it different - Runnable code inside every lesson - Three full paths that actually connect: code, then games, then shaders - Short chapters you can finish on a coffee break - Optional mini games for the days you want something lighter - Quizzes for when you want to prove to yourself you got it You don't need any prior experience. If you've never written a line of code, the first chapter assumes that. If you already know the basics, you can jump ahead to game dev or shaders and use the early lessons as a refresher.
