Schengen 90/180 Counter is a mobile companion for non-EU travelers who must follow the Schengen 90-in-180 short-stay rule. It helps you keep track of the days you have already spent, plan future trips, and estimate in advance whether a planned stay would fit inside the allowed limit. RELATIONSHIP TO THE OFFICIAL EU CALCULATOR - The app's algorithm follows the methodology of the official Schengen short-stay calculator published by the European Commission and Regulation (EU) 2016/399, Article 6(2) (Schengen Borders Code). - Before any real trip we recommend that you also verify your status with the official EU calculator at ec.europa.eu or with the consulate or embassy of your destination country. - The app is a mobile aid for everyday orientation; the final decision on entry always rests with the border authority of the country you visit. - For easy comparison the app includes a built-in link to the official EU calculator in Settings, so you can open it side-by-side with the app's own calculation. ABOUT THE 90/180 RULE Third-country nationals may stay in the 29 Schengen countries for a maximum of 90 days in any rolling 180-day window. Both the entry day and the exit day are counted (Regulation (EU) 2016/399, Art. 6(2)). From 10 April 2026 the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) records every external Schengen border crossing biometrically and replaces paper stamping.
