Ancient Scrolls is an offline manuscript library where Scroll Context Cards place material science, geographic origin, and era context beside every passage you read. • Browse a curated catalog: filter by era, region, and writing surface (papyrus, parchment, bark) to match your research topic. • Open the Scroll Reader: adjust typography, bookmark passages, and expand provenance cards without leaving the text. • Explore the Era Timeline: jump from dynasties and empires to linked scrolls in chronological context. • Build Collections: save favorites, follow curated reading paths, and reorder lists for seminar packets. • Use the Study Desk: attach passage-level notes, tag themes, and export your annotations from the device. Offline-first: bundled scroll excerpts, bookmarks, collections, and study notes stay on your iPhone or iPad. Optional catalog updates can merge public-domain supplements from Wikisource when you tap Update Catalog in Settings; notes are not uploaded in v1. • Map approximate find-spots for scroll origins when you enable the origin map toggle. • Continue Reading resumes your last manuscript from the Library home screen. Built for students, museum visitors, and readers who want sources understood in their historical and physical setting—not a generic document scanner.
