Turn every walk into a treasure hunt. Snap a photo of any animal, plant, or insect - Huck identifies the species in seconds and adds it to your personal field guide, illustrated in beautiful vintage style.
Huck is free to download: identify three species free every day and build a collection of everything you find. Upgrade to Huck Premium anytime for unlimited identifications.
Some species are common. Some are rare. A few are almost never seen. The rarer your find, the more it's worth - so keep your eyes open.
IDENTIFY ANYTHING
Point your camera at a bird, wildflower, butterfly, snake, or paw print in the mud. Huck's AI identifies the species, shows how confident it is, and flags anything you shouldn't touch. Includes three free identifications every day - go unlimited with Huck Premium.
BUILD YOUR COLLECTION
Every species you find is added to your own field guide as a hand-drawn style scientific illustration - over 2,500 North American species to discover across birds, mammals, plants, insects, and reptiles & amphibians.
EARN XP & LEVEL UP

Very pretty UI design marred by AI illustrations. It also includes an unnecessary subscription even though it sources most of the spottings from another service. This app basically wants you to pay $40 a year for pretty AI generated UI.Also ios identifies animals and plants natively through the photos app. No need for a seperate app to do that.
Developer Response
Glad you like the design, and thanks for the feedback. Just to clarify, Huck is free to use. Including the map, field guide, and three free AI identifications per day. The subscription is optional and expands AI usage rather than unlocking the core app. Huck is meant to be more than just identification: it helps people discover, track, and learn about wildlife nearby. We’re continuing to improve the experience.
Too much money

It’s $40 for a year so you can take pictures and identify animals. Google does the same thing
Developer Response
Thanks for trying Huck. Just to clarify, Huck is free to use. Animal identification is available free three times per day, and the map and field guide are also free. The subscription is optional and expands AI usage/supports continued development.
AI everything

Too bad this app only features AI generated design. I would’ve liked it more if an actual artist created the art.
