The iPhone app now gives the same recipe as coldbrew.studio, plus a round of fixes from watching people use it. • Recipes are retuned. Light roasts grind a touch finer and dark roasts a touch coarser, Everyday is a lighter 1:10 you drink straight, and Strong is 1:8. Your next batch may read a little different. • Brew tells you how many cups the batch makes, and measures coffee in cups once you're past a dozen tablespoons. • Ready times are always a day and a clock time, like "Tue 1:26 PM". • Steep counts the hours until it's ready and shows when to strain. • Setup starts with your grinder and brewer, not ours. • Slow-drip brewers like the Cold Bruer keep their own 3 to 8 hours. • Tasting notes in All brews get the full width of the row.

Cold Brew Studio 3.0 is a full redesign, built around your counter. • Brew puts your grinder's dial up top and your bag of beans beside your brewer, with one button to start steeping. Tap any of them to change it. • 80+ grinders now turn like the real ones, knob or numbered ring. Drag the dial to where you actually dialed in and the recipe follows. • Steep shows your brewer darkening hour by hour and tells you when it's ready. The Live Activity and widgets follow along. • The Journal opens on a shelf with a bag for every bean you've brewed. Tap one for its field notes and your best recipe. • Strengths have friendlier names: Everyday, Strong, Jet fuel and Concentrate. • A new icon, made for Liquid Glass.

Coffee that is ready now looks like it. The Steep screen says Ready, tells you what to do with the vessel you used, and puts Finish front and centre. Delete steps out of the way. Also in this one: - Ready from and Best by, in place of the old window labels. - A batch with no bean is named after the day you started it. - Strength presets on one row, with your pick in view. - A heads-up before the notification permission prompt. - Warmer wording throughout.

You can talk back now. Settings → About → Send feedback goes straight to the person who makes this — a grinder that’s missing, a grind range that’s off, a thing you wish it did. Email is optional; leave it blank and it stays anonymous. Every one of these is read by a person, not a queue.

A small fix, but an annoying one. At the far ends of the batch and strength sliders, the number riding above the dot could run off the edge of the screen — a full batch read "1500 mL · f" instead of "1500 mL · full". It stays on the page now, at both ends of both sliders.

Cold Brew Studio is a real iOS app now. Not a website wearing a jacket — rebuilt from the ground up, so it opens instantly and moves the way everything else on your phone moves. The grinder dial is a thing you turn with your thumb, and you can feel every notch. Your steep now lives on the Lock Screen. Start a batch and the countdown is right there, and in the Dynamic Island, without unlocking anything. There are Home Screen widgets, a Control Center button, and you can just ask Siri to start one. Pick a brewer and you'll start on its maker's own recipe. Ovalware spent real time working out what their basket wants — you may as well begin where they landed. Change it and that jar remembers, so your 1.5 L and your 1 L are allowed to disagree. Every brew, rating and note you've written is exactly where you left it.

Everything got a little more refined. Your Journal now opens with your best cup — the brew you rated highest, the note you wrote about it, and the recipe that got you there. One tap brews it again. The Steep tab leads with whatever needs you first. A batch that's ready to drink comes to the top instead of whichever one you started last. Underneath: a pass over every screen. Controls that match each other, type that holds up at a glance, better contrast in both themes, and a grinder dial that finally looks machined.

Small fixes, all of them things you would have run into eventually. • Decaf beans from the catalog now report honest caffeine. If the bag’s name didn’t say “decaf,” the estimate didn’t know it was one. It does now. • Tasting-note chips toggle. Tap one to add what you taste, tap it again to take it back, and the word stops doubling up in your notes. • The strength and batch sliders track your finger more closely. • VoiceOver reads which strength, roast and steep spot you’ve picked, and says the recipe once the numbers settle. • Opening the app syncs once instead of three times.

Two new moments, both earned: • Something's brewing — a soft glow now breathes around the steep ring while a batch runs. You can read it from across the kitchen. • Dialed in — five stars with nothing to fix pins that bean's recipe as its default and hands you a badge. Confetti is for browser games; this is for coffee people. Also: coldbrew.studio got a proper front door, and small polish throughout.

Your brewer's grounds basket now has a say — recipes honestly respect what it can hold.
