What's new in 1.4.9 • 50 new looks in five 2026 trend packs: Nostalgia, Soft & Airy, Moody Cine, Earth Tones and Neon & Chrome. 10 of them are free. • New packs sit at the front of the look strip with a NEW badge. • Favorite a look right from the intensity slider. Favorites now list the newest first, and Pro looks show their heart too. • Recent keeps your last 10 looks, including ones you tried from Explore. • Pro looks are marked in Explore, and close buttons are easier to tap. Thanks for using Filmode!

What's new in 1.4.8 • New Presets Store: browse look packs, Trending Looks and a detail page for every look. • 12 new trending looks. • Smoother scrolling in Trending Looks and in the look strip. Thanks for using Filmode!

What's new in 1.4.7 • Fixes a crash on launch that affected iPhones running iOS 15. Thanks for using Filmode!

What's new in 1.4.6 • Search looks by vibe: type “warm beach”, “black and white” or “night city” and Filmode suggests the looks that match the feeling. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence it understands longer descriptions too. • Siri and Shortcuts: say “Open the camera in Filmode”, or put the Instant Camera, Film Roll or Explore Looks on the Action button and in Spotlight. • Fewer crashes, faster fixes: when Filmode crashes, an anonymous crash report now reaches us so we can find and fix the cause sooner. It never includes your name, your account or your photos. • The App Store page now comes in the languages the app speaks. • Small fixes and polish. Thanks for using Filmode!

What's new in 1.4.5 • Pro Yearly is here, with a 3-day free trial. It is the best-value way to get every look and tool. • A clearer upgrade screen: the plans now sit right above the Continue button, so you always see what you are choosing before you tap. • Dual video: film with the back camera while the front camera rides along as a round bubble. Drag it anywhere, pinch to resize, or pick Small, Medium or Large in Settings. On iPhones that support it. • The front/back camera switch now stays on screen at the end of the camera controls, so it is always one tap away. • 50 new Camera Styles looks: 10 free starters and 40 more with Pro. • Shared Film Roll guests get the 60 free recipe looks right in the App Clip. • Fixes: Explore no longer closes on its own with the full look library, looks load without stalling the camera, the video chips are no longer cut off, and photos from the Half Frame camera no longer have a black line down the middle. Thanks for using Filmode!

What's new in 1.4.4 • 200 new looks in ten packs — Everyday Editorial, Cafe & Food, Wedding, Nature, Local, Flash, Mono, Art, Dream and Trend Lab. 50 of them are free. • Video on the film camera: the look is recorded into the clip, 720p up to 4K, HEVC or H.264, with sound — plus slow motion, HDR (HLG) and Cinematic video on iPhones that support them. • Film sim v2: halation, grain that follows the film and ISO, each body's own lens character, a flash look, and an optional 24- or 36-shot roll. • New drive modes: handheld Night, HDR bracket merged into one photo, focus stacking, Dual shot (back and front in one frame) and portrait background blur. • Open the camera from the Lock Screen or Control Center (iOS 18), shoot with the volume buttons, and find your three latest recipes right on the viewfinder. • Shared Film Roll: host a roll at a party or a wedding and hand out a QR. Guests scan it and shoot right away in the App Clip — no app, no account — with your camera locked in and a counter showing their frames left. Photos stay hidden until the reveal. Free for 5 guests; Pro hosts up to 50, and Group, Party and Wedding passes make one roll bigger. • Booth Mode: four shots on a timer, laid out as a photo strip with the date. • RAW re-develop: RAW shots keep the look beside the negative, so you can switch the look, effect or date stamp off later, or develop it again with another look. • Film Roll: new Weekend and Surprise develop times, and contact sheets you can cull — pick, star or reject, then save every keeper in one tap. • Match Photo gets Auto Balance, and on Pro matches up to 20 photos at once. • Camera bodies print their style on the photo: half-frame gutters, instant borders and date-back stamps. The date stamp can go back to an earlier year. • Camera Control on iPhone 16 and later, and a My Camera widget for the Home Screen. • Share a My Camera for free with a QR code any phone camera can open. • Buy single items on their own: the Y2K Digicam, the Pro-Mist optic and the Cinematic pack. Pro still includes all of them, and Redeem Code is on the paywall. • Trending looks and new how-to Guides right on Home, and Video Studio is back there too. Thanks for using Filmode!

What's new in 1.4.2 • Match Photo: point Filmode at a photo whose colour you love — a film scan, a still from a film, anything — and it rebuilds that colour on the photo you're editing, tone curve and colour cast together. Hold to compare, then keep it as a LUT that works in the camera, in video and in batch. • Film Roll: load 12, 24 or 36 frames and shoot blind — no preview, no deleting, just the counter going down. When the roll is finished it develops right away, in three hours, or at eight the next morning, and comes back all at once as a contact sheet. A 12-frame roll is free. • 100 new looks in six packs: Film Stock, Cine Grade, Street, Portrait, Travel and Retro Digital. • Five Pro optics that behave like the glass they're named after: Anamorphic flare, Pro-Mist diffusion, Tilt-Shift, Aerochrome infrared and Zoom Burst — each with its own controls, marked the way the real filter is. • A more serious camera: switch between the ultra-wide, wide and telephoto lenses right on the frame; shutter speeds long enough for a tripod, with frames stacked so water turns silky; keep a RAW negative; a focus loupe while you focus by hand; long-press to move focus without moving exposure; and a waveform and RGB parade beside the histogram. • On iPad, Match Photo and Film Roll set the photo beside its controls, and the whole app now honours Reduce Motion. The lens buttons appear on iPhones with more than one rear camera. Thanks for using Filmode!

What's new in 1.4.1 • False colour: repaint the viewfinder so every brightness has its own colour — green at middle grey, pink through skin tones, purple and red at the two ends where detail is already gone. A legend under the switch says what each colour means. • Recipes: name a setup once — the exposure, the look, the viewfinder aids — and tap it to put the camera straight back there tomorrow. Twelve of them, and a channel you left on automatic stays automatic when you recall it. False colour marks the viewfinder only, the same as peaking and zebra — it is never in the photo. Thanks for using Filmode!

Filmode now speaks Vietnamese — every screen, the camera included. My Camera Save a LUT, a live effect, your framing and the flash as one reusable camera, then share it as a link. Free keeps one camera; Pro is unlimited. Three new photo effect labs, first look free in each • Adaptive Flash relights your subject and lets the background fall away. • Smart Subject Grade lights subject and background separately, holding skin back from the grade. • Film Negative Scanner inverts a photographed negative and clears the orange mask. Plus fixes and performance work across the editor.

What's new in 1.0.1 • Recently Deleted — photos you remove from a board now rest in a 30-day archive. Restore them anytime, or clear them for good, from Settings. • Sign in with email to keep your boards in sync across iPhone and the web. • Creator Studio — sell your own LUT and preset packs right from the app. • New Rain camera effect for a moodier, cinematic look. • You can now delete your account from Settings. • iPad polish, faster boards, and a batch of small fixes.
