An object arrives on your desk with its dossier: date, materials, origin, and the provenance ledger. It is either authentic or forged. Inspect it with the loupe, rake the light across its surface, switch to UV, check the ledger against the materials reference. Then stamp your verdict. If you stamp forgery, find the tell: the one detail that gives it away. An aluminum thread decades too early. A pigment before its invention. An owner who acquired it before it existed. THE REVEAL TEACHES Every case ends with the true object's story and full credit to the institution, with a link to the original record. All artifact imagery comes from open-access collections and every altered image exists only inside the game. YOUR RECORDS Cleared authentics join your Cabinet. Caught forgeries go in the Black Book. Streaks count played days and are never punished. No account, no ads, no tracking, fully playable offline. VoiceOver-complete, including the inspection tools.
