Dark mode is here. Legacy Dad now settles into navy after dark, which is easier on the eyes for late check-ins and early mornings. Open Settings > Appearance and choose Light, Dark, or "Follow my phone." It stays Light until you decide otherwise. Your journal now holds more than words. Add a photo to any entry, or record a voice note when writing isn't practical — in the car, on a walk, or right after something you don't want to forget. Attach both to the same entry if you want, and to your guided path days too. Everything still stays on your iPhone. Photos and voice notes are saved on the device, are included when you export your data, and are deleted with the entry. Fixed: choosing a profile photo from your library now works.

Legacy Dad now speaks Spanish and French. Every screen, the guided paths, the badges and the daily scripture are translated, and you can switch language any time in Settings. Scripture uses the World English Bible in English, Reina-Valera in Spanish and Louis Segond in French. The Daily Compass now has far more ideas to choose from — roughly nine times as many as before, written for your kids' ages, and no longer repeating within a few days. You can now add a profile photo. It stays on your device.

The app name on your home screen now reads Legacy Dad. Settings now shows your actual app version and build number instead of a placeholder.

This release fixes a serious bug that could reset a subscriber's account. YOUR DATA STAYS PUT After subscribing, closing and reopening the app could return you to the welcome screen with your compass days, journal, goals, and path progress cleared. The subscription check was racing the app's own startup and overwriting your profile before it had finished loading. It now waits, and nothing can be written to your device until everything already saved has been read back. Your subscription itself was never affected. SETTING UP NO LONGER CLEARS ANYTHING As a safeguard, finishing setup now keeps any content already on your device instead of starting you from empty. Everything in this update came from one idea: the app should never assume things about your family that it can't know. PROMPTS THAT USE THEIR NAMES Daily suggestions now speak about your kids by name — and when you've added more than one, you'll get prompts built around them together. Partner language no longer assumes a wife or a mother. Add a partner's name and you'll hear it in your suggestions; tell us it's just you and the app adjusts. A CALMER MORNING COMPASS The compass is now one focused page per area — family, health, character — with your verse anchored at the top of each and a progress bar that shows exactly where you are. Missed a day? You can go back and fill it in. A CLEARER START Onboarding was rewritten from scratch: shorter, warmer, and honest about what this app is for. You can now start with three weeks of sample history if you'd like to look around before committing to a blank slate — it's off by default. Your kids' ages now shape your day. • Tell Legacy Dad how old each of your children are, and the daily suggestions fit them. A six-year-old and a sixteen-year-old need very different things from you. Tap a suggestion to fill it in, or write your own. • The one-word step now offers words drawn from the morning's scripture. • Reflections in a guided path can hold a photo and a voice note, kept privately on your device. • Look back at any day of a week you have already walked. • The streak now counts the days you followed through, not the days you made a plan. • A calmer Faith tab that fits on a single screen. • New accounts start genuinely empty, with no sample content to clear out.
