COMFORTABLE READING • Switch between reader mode and the publisher’s live page. • Adjust type, appearance, pane position, and wide-screen focus mode. • Translate supported articles on your device with Google Translate after a language pack downloads. • Prepare articles for offline reading and build a purposeful reading queue. • Search titles, summaries, sources, and extracted article text stored on your device. LOCAL-FIRST BY DESIGN • No account is required. • Optional summaries and headline tools run on your device after you download a model. • Reading text, titles, URLs, sources, searches, and topics are excluded from analytics. • Export subscriptions with OPML or make a fuller Gather backup whenever you want. • Optional sync uses iCloud on iOS. RELIABLE WHEN A PAGE IS MESSY Gather uses feed content first, can prepare an extracted reading view, and always gives you a retry or live-web fallback when extraction is unavailable. Publisher sites, paywalls, and JavaScript-heavy pages can still limit what a reader can extract. Core reading, search, OPML, export, offline tools, and on-device features do not require a subscription. A transparent one-time purchase removes Gather’s in-feed sponsored cards. Optional article translation is powered by Google Translate. The original article stays one tap away.
