Shifty is a simple shift calendar for all kinds of crazy schedules. Shifty makes it easy to add and view events that always change, which is common among shift workers like nurses, doctors, retail staff, etc. These schedules are usually unpredictable, and adding them to a calendar is not the best experience on traditional calendar apps. Shifty allows users to easily tap to mark their work days, and export shifts all at once with the same start/end times. Users can further take advantage of iCloud calendar sharing to let family and friends see which days they work. Volume and Closing

I work in the restaurant industry and those of us that work dinner shift may be either scheduled to “work volume” or “work til close.” Volume means you’re scheduled to work until the dinner rush is over but you get to leave early. I’m a closer so my quitting time ranges anywhere from 30 minutes before closing time (if we close early due to lack of customers) to 2.5 hours after closing time (if we are packed up until the bitter end). I suggest you make it possible to add a start time but leave the end time blank. Btw I LOVE this app.

Very easy to use. I can select multiple days and set my event without having to edit every individual day. Just what I needed to copy my work schedule to my phone in just a few steps. It can be merged with your iphone calendar.

There are dozens of similar apps, of them this developer seems to have a better understanding of what work shifts are all about. It's a bit cumbersome to use but I would have kept it (I deleted it within 5 minutes after trying it). Two reasons: #1 the product page is not honest that you only get a trial copy with ONE shift, if you want more shifts you have to pay to get them. #2 I never like when a seller pays people for reviews, it results in me not trusting ANY review of their product. This developer offers a discount if you write a review. Same thing as paying for it. At least he isn't trying the "subscription scam", I hate subscriptions!

Not using it like I should

I wanted a calendar to track days I ate well, days I had coffee, days I exercised and days I ate badly to see my trends over the course of a month. This little doodad works great for that, because I don’t want a lot of detail - just a visual that lets me see how I’m doing.
