I need to estimate the height of a tree that is dying and has to come down. This looked like the perfect app. Unfortunately, it does not work at all. You are instructed to "aim here" and then "aim here". But you are just pointing the phone in some vague direction without any real help in the aiming, resulting in wildly in accurate estimates. I messed with this for 10 minutes, then deleted it.

This app is an obvious cash grab to present you with ads. It doesn't measure anything. I tried, while seated, to measure a space heater. It registered as 24' tall. It can't possibly use the camera, as it never asks for permission as any other app would. It's utter nonsense, and should, frankly, be removed from the app store.

Calculating distance to the bottom of a tree that is 6 meters away shows ranges of 65 to 280 meters with every tap.

This app use the phone orientation to estimate the distance or height. Note that the aim point, the edge of the phone and your eye should be on a straight line. Also, please check the unit and enter your height correctly.
