The release brings with it several very important additions as well as many fixes/enhancements. Here are listed some of the most important: 1. Credit card additions are now PCI DSS 3.2 compliant. After selecting the green “+” sign during Acceptance, a new Modal form is displayed in a custom web screen. The Modal form is intuitive, easy to use, and will automatically identify the card type as you enter the number. The xDynamo card readers are not 3.2 compliant. However, they will remain available, along with the previous screen(s) for customers who choose to operate in legacy mode. We strongly encourage moving to the latest PCI DSS 3.2 compliant environment however. 2. In order to maintain the privacy of your security resources, all credentials are now encrypted. 3. Items no longer appear in searches if they are not checked as service items in SedonaSetup. In order to provide for a smooth transition, and proper tax calculations, the items are still downloaded however. 4. After entering text, the search items will now appear(in all cases) directly below the text and switching to a new type of search instantly refreshes. For example, you enter “smoke” into the text field while the Part Code is selected. Selecting Description results in a new query with new results immediately. The same is true after selecting to limit the parts to in-stock. 5. You can now upload files above 4MB and they will work as expected. The maximum size is now 16MB. 6. Job notes are now sorted like service notes; newest note on top to oldest towards bottom. 7. If a new accounting period has not been opened, the technician will now receive an error stating what is wrong.. 8. Job Appointments will now show correct end time in calendar. 9. We’ve also re-wrote the entire program so that background threads do not clash with the display of information. Recent changes to Apple’s tools allowed us to track these down and eliminate them. It means a more stable application and less crashing.

Included in this release is a correction for an an issue where taxes where not calculating for inactive items. Also a domain issue as well as the crash when re-loading schedules.

Updated for latest iOS release. Includes fixes, enhancements.

Corrected issue with available servers.

When a non-billable resolution is selected for a service ticket, or the ticket and appointment are first created, charges are zero until a billable resolution is selected. Additional service endpoint for customer added.

The addition of customer part pricing levels. Various fixes and corrections. Including service level change after 24 hour timeout and active items only showing during selection. Inactive items are no longer included as well.

Changes include, but are not limited to: 1) Phone number formatting consistent with main application. The default setup information including country and default area code are now used to format phone numbers in a way consistent with the main application. 2) Appointments are now shown with the most current date at the top of the list; a feature requested quite often. 3) Customer equipment removed for other reasons, as per the main application no longer is shown; consistent with the main application. 4) Service Notes instead of being displayed in random order, are now displayed chronologically using the entered date. 5) Parts are now added to the service ticket in the ordered selected or tapped before selecting add. 6) Service History is now listed most current on top of the list. 7) A wider range of recurring miscellaneous appointments is now sent to the calendar. 8) Contacts are now made inactive instead of deleted. 9) Part search now accurately reflects Manufacturer Code. 10) Documents crashing when refreshed corrected. 11) Immediate user feedback after downloading independent items(red X changes to green check). 12) Tapping reschedule appointment no longer crashes application when no appointments shown.

The version contains a fix for a display issue when adjusting appointment times.

Download Later If a startup item takes more than a few moments to load a ‘Download Later’ option appears. Select this option and the app will immediately stop loading that item and move to the next. If the load is stopped this way the app may not have all the information it needs, but it can still gather that info in real time as you need it. Remember that gathering info in real time may cause a small performance penalty as the app must go find the data that was skipped in the download. Download Frequency Switch The download frequency switch now automatically reverts to Every _ days after each load. This is to prevent startup items from downloading every time the app refreshes. The switch can be manually set back to green. If it is manually set back the system will load that item on the next refresh and again auto revert the switch to Every _ days. Download Item Detail A blue information icon now appears next to each startup item in Program Data Downloads:. If you select this it shows: •How many items there are to load and how many you have actually loaded •The last time that item was loaded •The Download Now option. This option allows you to re-load just that single item instead of the entire app. If selected a window will pop up and ask you to verify if you want to re-load the item. Select Yes and the load will begin. View Closed Tickets There is a new permission in the Technician Management Tool that governs whether users can see closed tickets in their schedule. If this permission is checked users will see closed tickets and if it is not checked closed tickets will not show. Inactivate Contacts The ‘-‘ symbol in the contacts section used to delete contacts. This is no longer the case. This sign now inactivates contacts only. The Technician Management Tool permission for this has been relabeled from ‘Delete Contacts’ to ‘Inactivate Contacts’. Resolution Button When resolving an appointment the resolution button has been changed from the word “Done” to the arrow symbol below. View Hyperlinks To open hyperlinks within notes highlight the note, select edit, and then press and hold on the link. A window will pop up giving you the Open option. Edit Part Description The description on parts can now be edited. It can be edited both as the part is being added, and afterward. Negative Items Negative items can now be entered on the Other tab, and will either show as negative on the Accept tab or reduce Other charges there. History Date Order Tickets on the history tab will now appear in reverse date order with the most recent on top. Inspection Documents A new feature has been added for inspection tickets only. If you add an inspection template to an inspection record, that template will auto populate onto the inspection ticket, and will in turn be visible on the FSU. Communications and Memory The processes of communications and memory have been rewritten to improve performance. Batch Mode Batch mode data submission to the server has been added. Automatic Online/Offline The automatic online/offline feature is not an ‘Offline Mode’, but it is a step toward that goal. The app can determine whether it should work online communicating directly with the server or offline using a downloaded local database. Connection Loses Users reported connection losses, which in turn caused data loss. How frequently the app needs to communicate with the server has been reduced, which should in turn reduce connection losses. Recurring Misc. Appointments Users reported these did not show on the iCalendar. This has been corrected. Load Every _ Days Users reported entering a 0 in this field cause the field to freeze up and not allow editing. The system will no longer allow a 0 to be entered. Serialized Parts Users reported not being able to select the serial number for serialized parts. This has been corrected. Loading History Users reported history would only load for the first customer selected. This has been corrected.

Fixes, performance enhancements.

This new version goes above and beyond, adding new features, upgrading existing features, providing better debugging capability, and fixing issues. Typical for inspections, service tickets assigned to a technician but not yet scheduled are now available. These unscheduled tickets, if assigned to the technician appear at the top of the queue in a brand new section for ease of identification. If a technician has been given scheduling rights through setup, the unscheduled tickets can be scheduled after which, they will be placed in the queue appropriately. Another new and powerful feature we are very excited about is the searching ability for the service ticket and job queue. The integration with the local database makes this feature lightning fast. You can limit your search to service tickets, jobs, or both. You can search by ticket or job number, customer name, or site address. The results of your search are instantly made available and can be selected just as in previous releases. Try it, you'll like it. New options in the technician setup tool can now determine if contacts can be removed, credit card and banking information screened, and mandatory signatures for appointments required. For the first time ever, site notes are now available for viewing in both service tickets and jobs. If a customer site has notes associated with it, a new button will appear next to the address information. Selecting this new "Site Notes" button shows the notes based on the technician access level. In previous releases, if a technician was allowed to make changes to system information, they also were allowed to add, update, and remove site contacts. Several customers requested the ability to make contact removal optional. With this release, a new setup option in the technician setup tool entitled, "Remove Contacts" makes this possible. Credit card and bank accounts are always treated as sensitive information by never showing all available digits. However, identity theft has become a major problem across the world. This release has a new setup option called "Access CC or Bank". When unchecked in the technician setup tool, there is no ability to view or select any existing credit card or bank accounts for service ticket billing. Also, adding credit cards is not allowed nor can the iDynamo card reader product be used. Another new and feature we are very excited about is mandatory signatures. A new setup option in the technician tool, "Mandatory Signature" if turned on, initiates this feature. Put simply, a technician cannot proceed to work on the next scheduled service ticket or job if a signature has not been acquired on a previous service ticket. And you can't sign without a resolution. No more skipping over this step if it's important to customers. The "No signer available" switch is also removed with this option; a technician must have someone sign the ticket. This release also fixes some nasty bugs. When searching for parts, the on hand quantity is now accurately reflected. Negative quantities are shown in red. Also related, if negative quantities are not allowed, trying to save a part that would drive the quantity negative instantly shows a message explaining the business rule or warning, depending on setup. In previous releases up to 20 seconds could pass before the user had an indication as to what was happening. There are so many more changes in this release to make it a better product, that discussing them all is impossible. You will find them as you use the new release. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to express their ideas. It's those ideas that have made this product what it is today.

This release allows you to generate service reports from the Accept screen in pdf format. You decide where to save the report; service ticket, customer, site, or customer system documents. You can then send the report out with an email to your customer, use it as history, and much more. Several bug fixes are also addressed with tax calculations and user interface elements.

Both the resolution code and description are now included on the service ticket. Ticket resolution is also more streamlined. A logic error was corrected related to selecting the resolution note; the ticket must be resolved before a note's resolution status can be modified.

SedonaFSU can now run on both the iPhone and iPad, adjusting for optimum screen real estate on each device. It also contains many improvements in usability and fixes to known issues. Documents have been completely overhauled and now work with the iOS document interaction interfaces. You can send a pdf over to your favorite editing tool, change it, and send it back to be uploaded to a service ticket, job, customer site, or customer system. It's easy to use and any document you upload will never overwrite the original; your always protected. You decide what is downloaded from the server and when. Once you decide to download a document, the file is saved into a private unique directory. This makes templates for those who need to fill out forms for inspections simple and safe. You can purge your local directory cache of these files whenever you want. However, your local disk cache is purged automatically of the file(s) when their date falls outside your operational window. This optimizes your disk cache by storing only what you need. Gone are the days when you had to wait for a server to send you the smallest detail or switch back and forth between screens to find what you need in service history. After selecting "History" for a customer system, all of the service history for that system is lazily loaded into a local database; lookups are lighting fast. The historical tickets are placed right in front with field comments. Directly under each ticket are the associated notes. You can use the miniature text at your fingertips or fill the entire screen with it's contents and zoom in or out. Part and Item lookups have also been greatly enhanced for speedy response. All the parts inventoried in your truck are now downloaded upon initialization. The same goes for items. A new user interface allows you to quickly find the part or item you are looking for. New also in this release is the ability to change schedule times. This allows you to deal with exceptional situations where a new appointment isn't neccessary. If you've been dispatched and find you have a long wait, you might decide to quickly switch the schedule, move on to your next appointment, and come back to your previous appointment, updating the schedule to reflect the situation on the ground. Service and Job Notes have also been modified for a better user experience and accessibility. They fill the entire screen so you can see, zoom, or scroll text with ease. Also new is a fully scrollable version of the note text in miniature at your fingertips. If you find a different note better reflects the resolution of a ticket, you can tap it's resolution checkbox; the previous resolution note is unchecked for you. The maximum minutes feature has seen a significant improvement towards a "real time" environment. You now have the ability to specify a true window (in minutes) around any of the dispatched, arrived, or departed times. The current time is used as the window center point during the initial adjustment(Dispatch Now, Arrive Now, or Depart Now buttons). The window can be locked with the first change, or sliding using the current value of the respective time. When you ask a customer to sign for services, the entire screen is available. When you open the application and/or login to the server, the session has now been extended to 15 minutes and all timers have been removed in lue of a heartbeat that is sent to the server. This release also includes a substantial amount of support enhancements. If you are experiencing poor network conditions or strange behavior in the application, we can at your request, monitor the network performance of your device as well as trap and save any errors. We've done hours of research, consulted with customers, and made changes across the board in service to make sure that taxes are correctly shown. Manual labor adjustment(if enabled), ticket resolution, part, and other item changes can now be done up until a service ticket is accepted(via signature or technician discretion). Disabling the ability to view sub charges now extends to labor rates. This includes those rates shown in the ticket review popup and in the labor section. This release also addresses reported problems: In prior releases, rotating the iPad during schedule loading would cause the application to crash. This was corrected in release 1.7.0 and finalized in this release. After entering manual labor, if you tapped on the appointment section the adjusted charges would revert back. This has been corrected. Once manual labor has been entered, it's there until you say otherwise. When entering a note, the application would let you continue after the 1024 character limit without notification. this has been corrected. The moment you hit the limit, you are notified.

Many new additions are part of this new release.

This release brings much needed changes to the appointment times and resolution process.

A race condition in the code was causing failure when resolving a service ticket. This release corrects this issue.

With new features, enhancements, and fixes, this release takes SedonaFSU to a whole new level; providing invaluable tools for your business. All service custom fields are now available, allowing the customized tables, textfields, checkboxes, and dates to be used in the field. Critical messages for customer systems, as well as primary and secondary service companies put field personnel in the loop to better serve your customers and business. If system updates are enabled for the technician, they can now add or edit site contacts in the field; giving you an edge on customer service, invoices, and collections. You can now disable dollar values and charges from being shown; whether it be disabling part or other item rates, labor units for a job, or the entire acceptance area. How much you disable is up to you via the technician tool. A major upgrade to documents is in this release. Instead of a huge composite of service tickets and systems, the documents tab is much cleaner; displaying only those documents for the currently selected service ticket or job. A technician can also upload to the service ticket, system, or job documents by taking a picture, or selecting from existing photos. A picture says a thousand words, and a technician can now easily document damages, locations, or problems.

Version 1.4.1 includes a number of requested additions. The customer’s system panel type, panel location, and central station alarm company are all editable if the “System Updates” checkbox is selected within the technician setup tool. When checked for a technician, a popup of the available panel types and alarm companies are used for selection. A part description is now included in the customer equipment summary. The “Maximum Departure” feature allows you to adjust the maximum amount of time (in minutes) a technician can deviate from the current time when departing. If set to zero (0) minutes in the technician tool, the dispatch, arrive, and depart now buttons are used exclusively with the current time when touched respectively; no additional time adjustment is presented. When searching for parts, the part code, part description, or manufacturer’s code can be selected as search criteria. The search text now functions in more of a “drill down” fashion instead of exact matches; vital when looking up a part by it’s description. The manufacture’s code is now also shown as part of the search results. For other items, the item code and item description function in the same way. Another helpful addition is the ability to look at other warehouses when searching for a part. A standard “information” icon is visible next to the part code in the search results. When tapped, if the part exists in other warehouses, the warehouse code, warehouse description, and the on hand quantities are displayed in a popup. More requested functionality and features are coming soon.

New in version 1.4.0 are several enhancements and important bug fixes. In addition to panel type and location, you can now modify a customer's central station alarm company if system updates have been enabled for the technician. Customer equipment now shows the description along with the part code. When searching for parts, you can now search using the part code, description, or the manufacturer code. When searching for items, the item description has been added. A new maximum minutes for departure feature has been added. A technician cannot deviate from the current time longer than the number of minutes you have setup in the technician tool. Most critical for this release is a fix for characters that would cause erratic behavior in the application.
