FAA Library gives pilots, students, and instructors one place to study FAA manuals with less friction. You can unlock official references, keep them organized, and open them quickly when you need answers. The app is built to help you prepare with more confidence before every written test and checkride.
Open the Manual Store, choose what you need, and add it to My Library in a few taps. From there, download manuals for offline access, continue reading on your schedule, and keep your purchased access tied to your account across devices.
**All your FAA study materials together**
My Library keeps your purchased manuals in a single list so you can stop jumping between scattered sources. Clear download status labels show what is ready now and what is still syncing.
**Unlock only what you need**
Use credits to unlock the exact manual that matches your current training phase. Search and filtering make it easier to find the right reference quickly instead of scrolling through noise.
**Read with focus and context**
The built-in reader supports table of contents navigation and in-document search so key sections are always close. Reader settings like fit width and fit page help you stay comfortable during longer sessions.
**Stay productive without a signal**
Download manuals to your device and keep learning when your connection is weak or unavailable. Your core references remain ready for review at home, at the airport, or in transit.
**Keep access synced across devices**
Sign in once to sync eligible purchases and continue where you left off on iPhone or iPad. That continuity keeps your progress moving even when your day changes.
Download FAA Library and study with a calmer, more reliable workflow from first lesson to final review.
Love the app! There should be a highlight tool added on to the app. I have the FAR/AIM on my iPad too, and I can highlight stuff on there. Also there should be a page search bar, where I can enter a page number and go to the specific page I want, or maybe a word search bar (I know that’s what the index is for though) that would pull up pages with the term I want to look up. Overall good app.
Can’t use it

Sorry FAA but it is as right now a very bad constructed app; it is impossible to create an account (gives an err message every time, even if you try eith different email addresses) and if you click on terms and privacy it will crash 11 out of 10 times.Maybe in the future it will work, I will definitely give it a shot again because I think it is a marcelous idea, but the construction was probably cheap and absolutely poor.
Stuck application
yayameeman
As soon as you sign in or skipped the sign in, the app freezes. I tried to use my log in details but freezes. Same when I tried new sign up, freezes. What’s the use of wasting our data and energy downloading an application that freezes irrespective of what you choose.Fix the issue please or remove it completely.
Epic Scam

This app is a PDF viewer where you are required to pay to view free FAA handbooks. There is nothing added in the way of functionality (e.g., a table of contents). In fact it’s worse than the built in iOS PDF viewer because it doesn’t even recognize hot links in the original FAA PDFs. Save yourself some money. Download the PDFs for free from the FAA website. Your iPad can already open them without any special apps.
