I used to always use the Deposit function to deposit checks without going to the bank. It no longer works. You take a picture of the front and back of the check Ann when submitted, receive error message “Check must be endorsed”. The check was in fact endorsed, but the app is apparently not able to recognize that it is endorsed and just issues the error message

This handy app gives you up-to-the-minute statements, lets you deposit checks into an account using your camera, and lets you do transfers. If you have an iOS device and bank at Peapack-Gladstone, you’d be crazy not to have it.

The app doesn’t download to iPhone 11 rendering it unusable. If that’s not a non-starter, once the app is actually downloaded to prior iPhone versions, the functionality is so poor or lacking in development that one key reason for using an app for banking isn’t possible. A high school student could develop something better than this. It never should have been released without basic functionality in play.

I see other complaints that the Deposit feature does not work, some going back years, most recent April 2020. How can a bank have anApp that doesn’t have a functioning feature like mobile deposits?! I guess they don’t read their reviews - I will be calling the closest branch which is 11 miles away to report this issue.
