I do not know any financial institution that does not have a contact phone number. If you deal with money or currency and you do not have a contact phone number, you should at least be able to reply emails in a timely version. I have been unable to send out crypto out of my account and Luno hasn’t replied in about 3 days. Their instant chat suddenly stopped working for God knows why. I deactivated push notification and that would not even get deactivated. Crappy application and website which seem not to be doing what they’re supposed to be doing and crappy organization and staff. A simple advice, you need to think twice and reconsider if you wanna use your money as quickly as possible and if you wanna put a huge money in Luno because you might be stuck and you might have to think about the possibility of being able to get your money out of Luno. It is ok to have difficulty, I am in the science business and I know technology can be challenging sometimes. What is not acceptable is “Refusal to communicate and build some confidence in your customers”. Their update page still says crypto can be transferred and that is not true. It is so frustrating.I updated to 2 star from 1 star because they locked my wife’s account for security reasons but they worked with her to unlock it after confirmation that the account belongs to her. I will come back and increase the rating when we successfully move the money out of the account.We were able to move the money out, for other people who use Luno, try to read terms and conditions and know which country is supported, I believe they are just trying to safeguard the customers’ money and sometimes their intention can be misinterpreted as trying to lock your money away from you. I have updated to 4 stars. I would give them a 5 star when they have a customer care phone number and consistent instant chat service and maybe a quick response to tickets.

Honestly I should have gotten my money out when I had access to my account. The app is tweaking so I have not been able to access my account, I’ve contacted support but I have not gotten any real help. They say they will get back to me but I’ve not heard from anyone since then. I’m not too sure if the positive reviews are being bought but I can assure you that if you use this app you will face a lot of headaches and lose access to your account while at it. It’s disappointing because I have had the app since 2017 but I didn’t bother to check my funds since as the price of crypto currency’s all over the world fell. As crypto started to rise back up I just decided to check my account and guess what, I couldn’t access it. I guess this means if you have any money in your luno account and you’re thinking you can just sit back and allow your crypto grow, please do yourself a favor and move your funds from that account, your future self will thank you.P.s I had written to support and they got back to me. Since Luno is not working I’m Nigeria I just changed my location to South Africa and I was able to log into my account.

I haven’t had access to my account since February 2022. My understanding was locked, and I have yet to find out why. I’ve contacted customer service at least 100 times (through instant chat and direct message). Every time I chat with someone, they tell me that their specialized team will reach out to me within five days; however, it’s been more than five months, and I have yet to hear from anyone. When I send a direct message to customer service, the message appears in my inbox as if someone else sent it to me, but it’s my message. I have also messaged LUNO on Instagram and Twitter, and still, no one has fixed my problem. LUNO service is the worst I’ve experienced in my entire life. If you look at other reviews and messages on social media, I’m not the only person to have lost access to their money. LUNO needs to find a better way to communicate with customers to fix their issues. Most likely, an app developer will respond to this post with a link for me to message customer service, which I’ve done countless times. I need a solution to my problem. I’m tired of customer service giving me the roundabout.
