Skyflow is an excellent time lapse video app which I've been using for several years on my previous iPhones & currently on my iPhone 14 Pro (which Skyflow fully supports). Skyflow has a wide variety of features but is also straightforward enough for new users. Many other time lapse video apps require the user to export all the still photos to another app to combine them into a video but Skyflow very conveniently does that within the app & then exports the resulting time lapse video, one option of which is to the Photos app. One particularly helpful feature is the optional on-screen horizontal level which I was very pleased to recently discover will also work just fine when making a vertical time lapse video.Skyflow is an excellent time lapse video that I definitely recommend.Request to developer: it would be great if you could extend Skyflow's user interface to make it easier to select the various shooting parameters prior to making a vertical time lapse video.
Developer Response
Thank you!! The next big update will fully support vertical orientation and will have many other nice features 🙂
Great control and quality time lapse app

It’s great at taking Timelapse so I highly recommend it but I give it 4/5 stars because of its file handling system. This app can generate both huge video files and thousands of raw image files so the inconsistency of the file handling interface and the inability of its image to be handled in the iOS Storage app make it hard to work with. A popup that says “Where are my files?” leads to an Apple website explanation of the iCloud but sometimes files are kept internally, sometimes on the phone’s iCloud account, and sometimes on the camera roll, so the “Where are my files?” popup should say where the software actually sent it.A tutorial or documentation on how to adjust thousands of Raw files in post would be helpful for using that feature.Again: 5 stars for the time lapse feature and it handles day to night sunset time lapses well. I wish there was a way to ramp the shutter speed but at least it can adjust exposure over time or lock exposure if desired.
Developer Response
Thanks! We will try to make file management more clear for the user in the next updates.Handling RAWs is hard and it’s a huge topic to cover, so idk... but Skyflow will get some basic RAW editing features in the future.Mobile cameras are still pretty limited, but in Skyflow if you set the shutter speed to the desired value, it then will try it’s beast to apply set this value if/when the lighting conditions will allow to 🙂
Good time lapse app

Edit** after contacting designer with my problemGreat app, with lots of options for capturing timelapse with easy to use interface. One advantage of this app is the ability to export pictures to an sd card that you can attach using a dongle to your phone. But one thing to account for is if you want to export your timelapse you need twice the size of the file captured as free space on your phone otherwise Iphone wont allow it. For example if you want to export a 1gb file you need 2gb free space on your phone (this was the problem I faced and the designer answered it)
Developer Response
Sorry, but I didn’t understand what you did and what’s the issue :(If your storage was full, then you need to delete or move some projects off the iphone memory.
Best Timelapse app on iPhone, period.
grateful customer NOT
List of pros would be just too long to post here, but as a many years timelapse enthusiast I’d say this app has _every_ feature you could ever wish for on a mobile phone: 4K jpegs, a lot of custom controls, preview playback _while_ shooting - everything you need. 2 more features I’d like to see: - manual focus control: for plant photography it’s quite hard to focus on a tiny dot, manual thingy is needed here. - settings presets: I’d like to save and load presets of exposure/shutter/focus settings.
Developer Response
Thanks! There is a manual focus: tap and hold the AF-L button, and the focus slider will appear 😉
