The 10th World Avocado Congress app helps delegates navigate their time at the congress.

The app can be used to view the program, plan your personal schedule, engage in sessions, connect with other attendees, speakers, partners, and exhibitors, view and download resources, keep up to date with any news and alerts, and includes many other features to help you make the most out of your time at the Congress.

The World Avocado Congress is the prestigious event for the global avocado community. The Congress is only held every four years and represents an extraordinary opportunity for the avocado industry to come together, to share, to collaborate and to collectively influence positive growth of the whole sector.

The Congress is the largest avocado gathering in the world, attracting thousands of delegates comprising some of the brightest minds in avocados including growers, researchers, marketers, tech innovators and investors. It provides delegates, partners, and participants the opportunity to access innovation, global knowledge and science to support the development of the avocado sector and to learn from each other to grow the global avocado sector.

Over 30 countries are represented amongst the almost 1,000 avocado stakeholders attending, with more than half coming from outside of New Zealand and Australia. The World Avocado Congress will be one of the first and largest global trade events to be held in New Zealand following the opening of borders after the pandemic.

A core focus for the next World Avocado Congress is to share, learn and engage to support the sustainability of the global avocado industry across people, environment and economics.

The theme for the 10th World Avocado Congress is "Respectful"; respect for people, respect for environment and respect for our future. Respect for people and the land plays a special part in Aotearoa New Zealand’s identity, it underpins who we are as a people and a nation. While the term "sustainability" has become a trendy word in recent years, it’s essential we demonstrate a committed, and not tokenistic, approach. To ensure the sustainable growth of the global avocado industry, we all need play our part in this global conversation.
