I love these analog camera style apps, and this is my favorite of the ones I’ve used to date. Fimo’s films are gorgeous, and the interface is pleasant to use, though a little bit clumsy in landscape. Still, I’m delighted every time I use the app and find myself trying to find excuses to take more photos with it. A few wishes: I’d love the ability to save an unprocessed version of a photo taken (perhaps the photo can be saved as “with edits”, so it can be reverted to unprocessed if desired from the main Photos app), and the ability to have embellishments such as frames left out (like how dating a photo is optional), would be nice as well. Regardless, thanks for the wonderful app.

As many of us who have been here from the beginning know. This app went downhill fast when they implemented their high priced subscription based model. I would highly suggest looking into “old roll” as an alternative app. It does the same thing with the same ui. Vintage film emulation without the $90 lifetime purchase that doesn’t even work for some people. I recently found it so I haven’t explored all aspects of it yet. But they give you a handful of free options and then you are able to purchase the films separately or subscribe/purchase a lifetime subscription. From what I see right now lifetime is around $18 which seems a lot more reasonable and they are still updating and releasing more films. And you have the option to purchase the films separately for $0.99-$2.99 (like old filmo) Definitely not trying to kiss up to old roll. But I just really miss old filmo where they released constant updated with some yearly freebies as well. $90 for lifetime is a joke especially if people still can’t access their films after paying. They should have at least kept the option of buying single rolls. I should have never updated and kept the old version.

I think I wrote a review for this app before but I’m here to write another review. This is the best camera ever! I’ve only been using the EK 80 film because the colors on the pictures taken with this film is absolutely beautiful and makes the whites even brighter than the iPhone camera. I stopped using the iPhone camera and only used this. I’ve taken a bunch of behind the scenes pictures using this camera and it’s absolutely beautiful! I’ve been asked by so many people what camera I’m using and I kind of don’t want to share it because it’s my little secret haha

FIMO does a beautiful job of recreating the look of classic analog films. There are a number of free film types available with no restrictions. Additionally there are others available for a small charge. All are extremely high quality and well worth it. I keep looking for reasons to take pictures just to see this app work its analog film magic.I do have one request for the developer: please consider an option to import photos without changing the aspect ratio or adding a frame. I have photos shot in other apps that end up getting cropped badly when FIMO forces a particular aspect ratio during import.
