Great when it works but it does have its problems. With good photos it manages to match the selected options well and does a good job at mimicking the style. It does suffer when having photos of different races where everyone gets converted to white skinned only regardless of how dark the original skin person was. Photos need uploading to a cloud service to process so not knowing the privacy concerns of this process is fishy. If you arr comfortable with this then the app works well

Tried 2 styles. One had issues with the background in that style, but did try and match the tone. Another for what it is did really well worth turning a lot of odd items into actual cartoon versions. It seemed to upload/process rather quickly and I appreciated not having to do some 6 step log in or hour long intro to the app. Felt really intuitive by just looking at it. Highly recommend!

Cartoonizer is a fun app for turning regular photos into creative artwork. I like the huge selection of styles, especially the anime, manga, cartoon, and pixel-art options. The one-tap process makes it easy to create avatars, wallpapers, and profile pictures without complicated editing. The offline upscaler and local processing are also nice additions. 🎨📸✨

This is an update to my previous review, and I’d like to take my hat off to the developer for being so tenacious and working so hard to take this app from a 2 star app to a zero. Great job! I apologize for the 1 star, as Apple doesn’t have the deserved 0, but just know in your heart that you earned it. For those considering downloading this one, you may want to find another solution as the server hosting the images for this app is unresponsive and it’s no longer a functioning app. Developer, keep on churning out that substandard work!Previous review Doubtful you could see the cartoon result and then pick that person from a lineup. The 2nd choice is I assume to make you feel like the first choice is so much better b/c it typically isn’t even in the ballpark of what the photo looks like. There are definitely apps that use a gif overlay that are much more efficient and with results you can actually determine are of the same person as your photo.
