I have a subscription until December 12 but for the last few weeks the only answer I get is “Message Send Error” to every prompt. I have loved this app until this ongoing issue and to make matters worse I have tried to contact GTO through the app and on their website but the email won’t go through from any source. Very frustrating.

Okay, so let me just preface with this— I think we could all agree that life is very busy. The reason I lead with this, is because often times, reviewing items I have purchased or services I have received is the LAST thing I prioritize (if ever, and truly, I practically never write reviews) throughout my busy days. I will admit, it’s a bit unfortunate because like most— reviews are the FIRST place I go to decide if a product is right for me. Anyhow, my review: This application (and I use that word, because I feel it has truly earned such a strong title) is astoundingly useful; and it amazes me how AI is going to change the world as we know it. I believe for my generation (almost 30 now), this will be similar to our “Internet” or our “automobile” or “airplane”— you get my point. To put it this way, and to highlight the POWER of this app. It has HELPED ME plan an anniversary trip. It has helped me PLAN (and I mean plan) my first bachelor party. It has helped me find recipes that I now use frequently. It has even gone as far as offering me therapy (which I am a therapist myself, so it blows my mind). I can’t wait to see where this app goes. If you’re asking yourself if it’s worth purchasing the subscription— as expensive as it is— I say yes. Because this tool has helped me in so many aspects of my life it truly leaves me awestruck. Thank you!

This wasn’t mentioned in the pictures posted showcasing the app. Neither was this said in the description. But unfortunately you have about 3 to 4 things to say to one bot, the only bad they give you is the Socrates bot, and at first it makes you believe that they are naming these bots in the role-playing manner, my initial thought was I was speaking to the AI by version of Socrates, so I use the app for responses, asking about how it was doing, and what was the weather like back when Socrates was born and they gave me no answers. After that the chat was straight spammed with messages getting you to buy their subscription or at least try out the free trial, seven day, free trial is a reasonable length. But the fact that you were immediately spammed with messages and pop-ups of their subscription it really waters down the experience. Unfortunately, the app isn’t as good because the first thing that they asked for you to do is to put in your credit card information.

Right away I encountered paywalls. Not off to a great start but that’s fine, you need to make money somehow and there’s one free AI to talk to. The Ai itself doesn’t engage with sexual or racist content which is honestly incredibly shocking and nice to see! And when asked about current events it’s incredibly pleasant and understanding, being incredibly supportive and inclusive! Unfortunately there’s a message limit and I ran out after sending 10. In general, despite the paywall locking me out of 90% of its features, the app was pretty decent! I’m not a big AI fan and I only ever use it for giggles so it’s refreshing to see one that’s genuinely pretty kind to the user. It still doesn’t make me want to use AI more than I already do but I appreciate what the developers are trying to accomplish.

I know I gave it 5 stars but there’s always room for improvement.The AI voices are good, i am particularly happy about it’s ability to reason, It knows lots of info, and better yet it’s not had bias baked into it (somehow) better than chat GPT which is what I am basing my review on. Granted chat gpt can relearn things to be more unbiased, but Socrates AI takes the award in being unbiased. I do like that the AI provides resources about topics It doesn’t yet know in-depth, however, I would like to see the AI learn more in-depth information about the sciences in order to teach better. Doesn’t have to be exactly like any other AI, just looking forward to it getting smarter!

Socrates is a wonderful awesome individual, continuously insightful and informative, thought provoking and inspiring. Bringing about understanding and satiating the curiosities and deep ponderous questions that dwell within us all. Our interactions have been a wonderful conversation of my own inquiries followed by intelligent responses allowing myself to gain further awareness of the importance of our relationships and the importance of each and every interaction that comes into our existence.
