This update brings fixes and enhancements across the app, keeping your alerts fast and reliable.

Alerts you can rely on, and a new way to follow aftershocks. • Fixed: the notification permission prompt could appear before onboarding finished, leaving alerts without sound. If your alerts were silent or never arrived, this release fixes it. • Notification check-up — a screen in Alerts that checks every setting an alert depends on, and tells you exactly what to change • About alert sounds — what critical alerts are, and what to do when there is no sound at all, explained as you create an alert • Aftershock sequences (PRO) — mainshocks still producing aftershocks, each sequence drawn on its own map • Fixed: tapping a tsunami pin now opens the bulletin, not the earthquake you were already reading

A redesigned QuakeMate, and a lot more detail on every event. • Official tsunami bulletins — warnings, watches, advisories and information statements from NTWC, PTWC and GDACS, with the affected coastlines drawn on the map • Event updates — see exactly what an agency changed when it revises a magnitude or a location • Felt reports on the event screen • Alerts you can limit to a region • Browse by event type • QuakeMate now speaks 9 languages — pick yours during setup or in Settings • A refreshed design throughout

Fixes a crash in the far north Opening an earthquake above roughly the latitude of northern Norway - near Svalbard, Greenland or anywhere in the Arctic - could close the app instantly. Those events now open normally. More places in Explore Added 22 territories and island groups you can now browse and follow, including Svalbard, New Caledonia, the Kermadec and Kuril Islands, Guam, the Azores and Greenland.

Not every tremor is an earthquake Seismic networks also record quarry blasts, explosions and tremors caused by mining or drilling. Every event now says plainly what kind it is, with a guide explaining each one, and the map pins are colour-coded to match. Browse beyond earthquakes A new section in Explore lets you browse recent events by what caused them. Filter the map by cause PRO members can show only natural earthquakes, or only human-caused events. See how a solution changed When an agency revises an earthquake, the event page now summarises what actually changed since the first report - magnitude, depth or location - with the full history a tap away. Follow-up alerts You can now ask to be told when an event you were alerted about is later revised. Off by default, and set per alert. Fixes - The shake-intensity layer no longer stays on the map when filters hide the quakes it belongs to. - Smoother transitions when opening pages from Explore.

Fixes a layout problem on the upgrade screen shown during setup, where the subscribe button could be pushed off the bottom of the screen on some devices. The button, the plan options and the links below them are now always fully visible.

Rebuilt PRO screens The upgrade screens now show what you actually get - a real critical alert, the map filters, Explore and local news - with your plan, trial reminder and billing date visible at a glance. A clearer trial reminder If you start a free trial, the reminder now arrives a full day before you are charged, at a reasonable hour - never after. Fixes - The test alert is no longer offered when notifications are switched off. - Corrected wording about which features the free plan includes.

• New: "In the news" on earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunami bulletins - relevant reporting from trusted outlets, right where you're reading • Tap a story's location to jump straight to it on the map • Volcanoes outside the US now say plainly when there's no official alert feed, instead of implying all is quiet • Volcano status now shows the latest Smithsonian weekly report with its date, rather than hiding it • Source earthquake on a tsunami bulletin now opens on the first tap • Updates timeline moved higher on the earthquake screen • Bigger tap targets and a clearer epicentre readout

• Fixed: tapping a tsunami bulletin in Explore now opens its full details • Earthquake facts are now free for everyone - no subscription needed • Tsunami bulletins now show the earthquake that caused them • New "Urgent" filter on the tsunami list, shown whenever a warning is in force • Better-balanced fact cards when you share them

• Updates timeline on every earthquake - see exactly what the agency changed (magnitude, depth, location, review status) since it happened, plus tsunami status, felt reports and aftershocks in one place. • Tsunami bulletins - tap the tsunami row on any flagged earthquake to see the official NTWC / PTWC / GDACS bulletin: is it active, expired or cancelled, the affected coastlines on a map, and the source earthquake. • Explore → Tsunamis - the latest bulletins worldwide with Active and Warnings filters. • Reports - QuakeMate community reports and USGS "Did You Feel It" responses side by side. • Alerts - worldwide alerts can now be limited to a continent or country, and any alert can also deliver official tsunami warnings, watches or advisories. • Fixed the map's Tsunami list showing nothing when the view crosses the 180° meridian (Aleutians, Fiji, Kamchatka). Thanks for using QuakeMate - keep the feedback coming!

• Fixed a Premium paywall that could get stuck when opened from an earthquake's full-screen map — it now closes properly, and opening it no longer dismisses the map behind it. Thanks for using QuakeMate — keep the feedback coming!

• The Now tab now updates instantly when you switch between Worldwide and Near me. • Fixed a rare issue where the Now panel could get stuck refreshing after reopening the app. • Map layer filters and the list now stay in sync — turning off Quakes, Volcanoes, Tsunamis or Felt hides its chip too. Thanks for using QuakeMate — keep the feedback coming!

Tectonic plate pages now tell the full story. - Plates that run through several countries show them all: the countries sitting on the plate, plus a new "Along its edges" list for neighbours on its boundary - where most earthquakes actually happen. - Small polish and fixes throughout.

Sharper sharing, richer filters, real impact data. SHARE COMPOSER - Card options live in one tidy menu: details position, minimap with epicenter pin, big country flag, bigger text, and an Impact line showing how many people felt the shaking (USGS PAGER). - Everything works on photo AND video cards, and the preview updates live. MAP - New Felt list plus two new filters: felt reports only, and depth (shallow, intermediate, deep). EARTHQUAKE SCREEN - The impact alert now shows the population exposed to each shaking level, straight from USGS PAGER. - New bell button: create an alert for the area right from any earthquake. - Nearby cities and areas are back. FIXES - "Near me" on the Now tab sticks and no longer slips back to worldwide events. - Tectonic plate pages list the countries along smaller plates. - No more stray straight lines on shared map cards.

News that follows the places you care about. - New "Alert areas": one News feed covering your saved alert zones - the places you already watch for quakes, right down to each zone's area. - New "Near me": stories from around where you are right now. Pick a scope from the top of the News tab. "Worldwide" still shows everything.

Free trial on every plan, and a lot of polish. TRY IT BEFORE IT MATTERS - Every plan now starts with a 7-day free trial. - New alert preview on your profile: see and hear a real earthquake or volcano alert - including a critical one - staged near your own location. It is clearly a demo, and no one else is notified. - We remind you before a trial ends. No surprise charges. MAPS THAT STAY WHERE YOU PUT THEM - Changing a filter no longer moves the camera or leaves stale results behind. - Tapping a nearby quake on the map opens it, instead of stopping at a bubble. - New Places layer: cities, parks and landmarks on every map. - The same filters everywhere, including the "since you last opened" map. SHARING - Share your "since you last opened" recap as a card. - Share QuakeMate itself as a proper branded card. - Optional globe intro on share videos: the clip opens at globe scale and flies in to the event. - Cleaner volcano markers on shared maps. FIXES - Tectonic plate details sometimes did not appear, and plate taps were being dropped. Both fixed. - Ordinary earthquake alerts were arriving silently. They have their sound back. - Faster share sheet, clearer purchase errors, and a tidier profile with everything in one place.
