THE 3DC METHOD • Three 1 to 5 measures anyone can argue about: Viscosity, Boldness, and Length of Story • One grade that is purely yours: A to F (there is no E), with + or - to fine-tune • Nose, Flavor, and Finish notes, plus a flavor wheel to tag what you taste (peat, sherry, vanilla, citrus, and more) • A rebellion against the 98-point score CAPTURE FASTER • Scan the bottle barcode • Read Label: take or pick a photo of the label and text recognition on your phone fills in maker, age, and ABV • Add a photo of the bottle or the pour • Dictate your notes hands-free THE LIBRARY • Search, filter, and sort everything you have logged • Mark each tasting as your own bottle or poured elsewhere, so the shelf and the night out stay apart • Re-tastes of the same bottle are grouped, so you can watch your opinion change • Bottle fill level, an opened date, and an "Oxidizing" label when a bottle's grades start slipping INSIGHTS • Taste trends, grade spread, how your palate has drifted, and any two drams side by side • A private cellar-value view of the bottles you own: what you paid against what you reckon it is worth (you type the numbers; nothing is looked up) BLIND FLIGHTS • Pour into numbered glasses, rate each one blind, then reveal what they were • Pass-the-phone group sessions for up to eight guests, with an agreement score for every pour and a named contrarian • The Label Bias Index shows how much the name on the bottle sways your grade SHELF CHECK • Scan a bottle and see what your own notebook says: have you had it, and how did you grade it? • No product database, no internet, no sales pitch CONSISTENCY DRILL • Re-taste one of your own bottles blind and see how close you land to your earlier notes • Reach a rolling average of 90 over five drills and your consistency score rides along on your palate card CURRICULA • Guided tasting journeys, like The Peat Ladder, that name styles to hunt and never brands • Log a match and the step ticks itself off; write a reflection on each step • Build your own curriculum, share it, and earn a shareable graduation card THE SNUG • Send your palate to a friend anywhere as a link, or show it as a QR card, and compare • Taste twins ranked by how closely their palate tracks yours • One card per friend: a newer card from them replaces the old one • The card travels inside the link, and 3DC keeps no copy.
