Heated goggles with 509 Bluetooth app! Great idea but you have to login to use it. Again, it works great when sitting near the WiFi in the cabin with a beer in hand playing with the app. The reality is that when your in the back country with no cell service the app will not work unless you find service. So you still have a cool set of heated goggles that can be set manually but the Bluetooth connection will not work because you can’t get past the login for the app. It would be such an easy fix to correct this so good luck with it 509. For now it’s best for those who like riding around their cabin in circles with frequent stops to eat the yellow snow. Me, I would rather be side-hilling up to the top of a summit in the trees rather than looking for a cell connection to get the app to connect to my heated goggles!

I reset my password to ensure everything is correct and it is. I am able to login on the 509 website however I am unable to login with the same credentials on the 509 app. It just tells me wrong email or password after completing a password reset and confirming all info is typed correctly. Occasionally unable to use in the backcountry without cell service which is a terrible design as it will randomly logout and then you have no control over the goggles via Bluetooth. Overall just a poor app design as well. Not what I expected at all with a $350 pair of goggles. Try disappointing 509.

This app is trying to be flashy, and therefore loads all the latest marketing data when opening. This is fine, when you’re home. But when trying to set the goggle fan settings and see the limited battery info out in the woods with no service, the app won’t load! I strongly request that 509 make a separate app that doesn’t try to find cellular service and eat your phone battery for you to simply set goggle settings.
