I just posted this to my FB, so I thought I'd share it here. "Today is my lucky day! Normally, I take two busses to work and two busses back. I've run for busses twice today and arrived just in time for two of them. My luck has been improved by the app "TC Next Bus" which estimates when the next few busses will arrive at a particular stop, using near real-time feedback from the bus GPS. For this last connection, I saw that my bus was due and I was a block and a half away on the first bus. I got off and ran for the bus and was able to catch the attention of the driver before they left the stop."I've used this app for about the past 9 months, almost daily. Today, busses are running on time. But this works even if busses are delayed by snowstorms, which is when I really feel smug about having this app.Edit: I still use this app and love it.
Me and my girlfriend have used this app for many years, it’s really handy for someone that uses the bus every day unfortunately, as of late, something has happened to the app to where you could not see any times listed for any buses at any location all locations display as “ no nearby buses”, unfortunately we can’t seem to find a similar app so we’re stuck having to call Metrotransit to find times when out. I really do wish that the developers work to pay attention to this into update and figure it out.
This was my go to app whenever I wanted to check the bus arrival time at a particular stop so that I can time my walk properly to that stop. However the map wasn’t really up to date; Metro transit made some changes (added and removed some of the stops) in some routes, but I don’t see those update on the map. Now all the stops show no ‘nearby buses’ so I just don’t need no more.
This used to be my go to app and it worked wonderfully. But for quite some time now many of the pins along my most used route stated no nearby buses, when I know there is one. Specifically route 2 in Minneapolis. One of the main intersections with connections to other routes states no nearby buses when I see one. Please update. This used to be a better app then the actual transit company’s app. I miss it.
If you ride metro in the twin cities often this is a must-have app. It's very simple, which is a good thing in this case... It loads and refreshes quickly which is very handy. Easy interface with location service and refresh lets you find your stop with real time bus info. A must have app.
What is up with this app? I relied on it almost every day of the week and sometime near the end of 2022 it just stopped working. Only shows “no busses nearby” for every bus stop. I thought it was just me or my phone, but now I see other similar reviews. Metro Transit app is way more obnoxious and cumbersome than this was. Can we get it back please? I even just paid $3 for “no ads” thinking maybe it had become a paid service. So now you have my money too. ☹️
