Radio app focuses on Ad delivery
WMAL’s app from Cumulus is garbage. It’s poor design is only focused on ad delivery instead of the radio and podcast content. Every time you change connectivity is reruns the ads. If the ads can’t play the app crashes. The podcasts are loaded with extra ads, why bother. The content is not worth the hassles.
Worst Radio App Ever!
It is almost like someone created an app to discourage listening to their station. Start the app and you have to listen to an app specific commercial, change the volume and you have to listen to another app specific commercial. The app will also randomly quit broadcasting losing the connection, when you get it back, bam! another app commercial. I understand and support commercial radio, I don’t even mind when listening to one or two when starting the app, but more commercial just to change the volume or pause the app to take a phone call, again and again is greedy and Horrible.
Stability much improved in update
It hasn’t crashed once and rolls right through ads as opposed to requiring you to close the ad in prior versions. That was annoying when driving.
CarPlay support seems much better as well. Overall, this now works as it should.
I can now listen anywhere in the world without issues.
