Happy Hunting!
Been a fan for the monster hunter series for a while now (I have played World and Rise already), and it is so exciting to be able to play a version of the game at the convenience of my phone. The game is more similar to rise in the sense of the arcade-like feel of the game. Although, it’s generally lighter and faster than most games in the series (as you would expect for a mobile version). Overall, great game and can’t wait for the content to come!P.S. - First review of the game!!
I don’t know if this my device…

So, I was really excited for this game, because I am a fan of the Monster Hunter series, but I have been sorely disappointed. As said above I don’t know if this is my device or some setting, but the entirety of the tutorial and opening cutscenes had very quit noise (it was not my volume), and ZERO voice acting. If this is not a problem with me, PLEASE FIX THIS, it largely detracts from the opening sequences and gives an unfinished and bad outlook on the rest of the game. This game has serious potential, and I would absolutely come back if they fix all of the bugs, the graphics, and the overall poor atmosphere of the game. Safe to say, I am uninstalling now, and for those who wish to know, it is a gacha game, so be warned. I will update my review if things get better.
No swaxe ?
No swaxe
Absolutely no Switch Axe in Monster Hunter Outlanders is a massive, baffling failure. The Switch Axe has been a core Monster Hunter weapon since Monster Hunter Tri (2009). It has been in every major mainline game since: Portable 3rd, 3 Ultimate, 4, 4 Ultimate, Generations, Generations Ultimate, World, Iceborne, Rise, Sunbreak, and Wilds. It’s been part of the series for over 15 years. And somehow, in 2026, Capcom ships a brand-new Monster Hunter game without it.I pre-registered for this game. I watched the notifications. I waited for the download. I fought through to Rathian specifically looking forward to finally swinging my favorite weapon… only to discover it’s just not there. No Switch Axe. At all. tried to tuff it out with Hammer my wich is my second favorite , Hammer is fine but I just like the play style of the swaxe wayyy more
Monster Hunter…Kinda
Nertyyygante
The graphics and aesthetics of the game are phenomenal for a mobile game, but you need to be aware, this is not your standard Monster Hunter. This is a gacha game with the core foundations of a Monster Hunter game. If you go into this expecting it to play completely like a Monster Hunter game, you’re going to be confused very quickly. Just like every other gacha, the monetization is absurd. If you have disposable income or don’t mind grinding the free to play route, you could have fun with this game for quite some time. The devs have something unique here and it could be amazing if they steer away from the greedy monetization.
