This is one of the best free players on visionOS. Is the first player that can remember where you were while replay the same video file. But it cannot remember which folder you were when browsing SMB folders. Another disadvantage is that there’s no file list mode that shows full name of the video file while browsing SMB folders. It can only view the files with larger icon mode, which is very annoying if the files within the folder is TV series.

This is one of the best free players on visionOS. Is the first player that can remember where you were while replay the same video file. But it cannot remember which folder you were when browsing SMB folders. Another disadvantage is that there’s no file list mode that shows full name of the video file while browsing SMB folders. It can only view the files with larger icon mode, which is very annoying if the files within the folder is TV series.

I’ve tested out all of the popular movie players and Cinemax is my favorite. The developer is constantly updating the app and adding the features you actually want to use. HDR is the closest to actual HDR than any other app. I tested 4 video apps with Dune 2 and noticed a significant difference in Cinemax and how much better it looked compared to the rest. There’s also a cinema environment which mimics the Apple Cinema environment and works great, far better than the other apps available. Sound works as it should, with Dolby Atmos, and doesn’t convert the audio like other players do. Highly recommended!

Thank you very much for this one! It gets better and better over time. I remember it having overheating issues when I tried it for the first time but now it’s gone and I don’t hear the fun noise anymore. Also, I’m in love with your cinema mode with this gentle blurry reflections on the image and different seats options, a truly immersive experience. Plus I can now move seat higher and lower making watching content in a bed much comfortable. A little tilt option will be very welcomed though, if you consider it in the future. But nevertheless, this app is great and it keeps improving. Thank you! Stay awesome!

They finally fix the HDR issues they had and it’s looking fantastic.I’m taking one star off for multi channel audio not seemingly present, and another star for not having a theater immersive environment and by theater I mean seats.I was disappointed to see a comment where the developer doesn’t plan to create a theatrical environment stating that he finds that very distracting and there’s no sense on that. How about having both options? As a developer are you building this up for yourself or for your clients?EDIT: One less star due to brightness levels go dark and bright within the same shot in the movie. I tested this with other apps and it’s not the movie is the app
