Easy to use, does what I need it to do, makes tidying up my desktop easy. It’s the closest thing to “Fences” for Windows that I could find for MAC.

Has potential, but pretty buggy

I love the look and feel of organized zones; however it just doesn’t work well. Renaming the folder or the zone fails and if you manually rename it in finder it just creates another ‘folder 1’. Drag and drop fails too unfortunately. I reached out via app support but so far nothing yet.

Renaming them in Finder can sometimes cause macOS notification issues, which may lead to the app not receiving the rename event correctly — this is the root cause of the behavior you described (such as a new “folder 1” being created).2.Drag & drop:You may have been using an App Zone instead of a File Zone. Desktop Organizer currently has two zone types:•File Zones: support free drag and drop of files•App Zones: designed for launching apps, which are selected via the right-click menuDragging files into an App Zone is not supported and can appear as if drag and drop is failing.We sincerely apologize for the confusion and frustration this caused. We’re continuing to improve clarity and stability, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

When adding an alias (pointing to a file stored in iCloud) to a zone on the desktop, the behavior is inconsistent.Sometimes the alias is added successfully, but other times it fails with the error:“An error occurred while moving the file.
