While you select your current year license type (paper in my case) and idiotic to ask since mobile hasn’t existed until now. I didn’t get a mobile type. Though I selected a mobile license type for this year, it didn’t sell me one rather a non water resistant, self printed- bulky license for which they still charge a dealer fee. While purchasing the word wrap is messy and present type radio buttons on different lines than text. 99% will use from a mobile phone versus a tablet. I doubt I’ll get the actual documentation via mail as in three instances I’ve purchased a Discover Pass directly from the State which never did show up.Also, it must be technically out of reach for the State to change to a mobile type after purchase of paper type as that feature is not offered.

I have used the BC Canada fishing app without issue. I did not log into WDFW before downloading app - I guess you are supposed to. Once everything got settled it defaulted me to a paper catch card. I had to email WDFW to change this, but tried to print the temporary catch card off the main WDFW site. It gives me an error. I had high hopes but the paper process was way easier. If given choice in future I’ll do paper. This is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used and although I can log into the main WDFW site, the app seems to hang when I try to log into. Can’t wait for game warden to ask for my catch card.

So far I have been unable to log into the app using my credentials and unable to use my hundred dollar plus fishing license and cat record card for the very brief Chinook open. I was unaware I would be forced to use this app when I purchased my fishing license online. It would be fine if it actually worked, but I have tried everything. I know how to do. Change my password restarted my phone. It just never opens it just freezes up. My phone is fine. Everything else works.

I had no problems loading or logging into the app. I used my existing account credentials and it loaded this year’s licenses and endorsements. It allowed me to purchase all my licenses for next season so I’m ready to go. I am glad Washington state finally caught up to other states using the same type of license applications. This makes life so much easier. Whoohooo!!!
