This game is so fun! I have spent way too much time on it and ended up buying the no adds option but even without it, the free option is still super fun. Also the pricing on no adds is actually reasonable. You see so many bad games that charge like 50 bucks to take them away but this was only 10! I’m in the late stages of the game and cannot wait to see what else they add. Biggest criticism would be that during the dungeons, the enemies sometimes spawn right on top of you or in a way there is no way around them and you need to take a hit. I’m glass cannon build and get one shot by anything so to instantly lose a key because of that feels cruddy. Would also love more ways to get keys, I want to play the game more and having some things be locked behind keys is sad because it is a really fun part of the game. Keep up the great work!

Great game - some growing pains

The game is good and has a relaxing gameplay loop. It’s new and has a little bit of balancing with regards to some of the research tasks and upgrades I think (some of the percent increases are insanely low) but I can fully understand wanting to start low and tune it up instead of the other way around. I’m looking forward to the coming updates and gameplay expansions that are teased at in game once you complete the quest line. Also no forced ads and the optional ads don’t break the game and make you feel compelled to constantly use them while at the same time feeling rewarding (some more than others for sure but if someone wants to min max gains then they can).The only real complaint and reason for the 4 star review is in regards the the IAP “Health God’s Blessing” and its description. The game works on a stamina system that you refill by going back to a camp and on restoring from fully depleting your stamina you get an additional max stamina (I quite like this feature, get the good numbers go up feeling from just gathering things). The description on the IAP states “when the king’s health [stamina] reaches 0, it instantly recovers without needing to rest” which is not what happens. You instead have to tap a button that pops up (called “Health gods blessing”) and then your health/stamina returns. The description implies health/stamina would automatically recover which would be instant but currently requires a button press. As the mechanic works now it should read “Pickaxe kings health can be restored with the health gods blessing anywhere in the kingdom upon reaching 0 health” or something similar. I understand not wanting to allow players to fully idle given that’s not the intended way the game is supposed to work so rewording the IAP description is probably the best thing to do here. Don’t want to be harsh but this is an IAP and needs to be addressed, I will revisit my review and update if it gets fixed.

This game is fairly new from the looks of it - it took me about 5 days to reach the end of current content. The game consists of resource gathering, mining and a dungeon, where you obtain currency to upgrade your only tool, your Pickaxe. Some currency is used to upgrade stats, sub items, and the environment. All aspects of the game can be played without seeing a single ad - but there are tempting options to get double resources by watching ads. These ads are typically quick and not as cumbersome as a lot of other games. I hope more content comes out soon!

I absolutely love this game! It does get repetitive, but that’s the whole reason you download this kind of game. I can just set it down while I’m doing something else and just idly collect resources. It reminds me a lot of a game I played called ‘Forager’ which also makes me really like the game. It’s really nice to not have a game that just constantly gives you ad after ad and the graphics are super cute as well. Will absolutely be playing this for awhile and I can’t wait to see this game get developed more as time goes on :)
