I think I’ve seen 10 different ads for this game by now and none of them are what the actual game play is. Since I downloaded it two months ago, I have played everyday. There is a lot of different things to keep you busy in the game. They switch up the events offers and there are different things to do with your alliance throughout the week. My favorite aspect of the game is actually the friends I’ve made in my alliance and state. We definitely have alot of fun. One thing I hate is the censoring and chat filter. I believe it should be an option to see cuss words. Some words aren’t even bad. The word “die” will be starred out sometimes. It’s very frustrating trying to communicate sometimes. Also you can’t see if one of the words you write is starred out but other people can see it. At least show me what’s filtered so I can reword it so people can understand me. Overall I love the game but the chat filter is my biggest issue.

I’m early in the game and I really love it so far. I enjoy the unique stories of the characters and the ability to learn more about them over time and I like the unique character designs - this attention to detail means a lot and really brings the story of the game to life. The fast pace of the upgrades without having to pay in-game currency is appreciated, and the lack of annoying ads is noted. Some small things that bug me about the game is that it feels very much like it was designed by a man. Many of the female characters are overly-sexualized in their design (Lucky, for example) and it annoyed me that the first female character unlocked is bound to working in the kitchen. The descriptions of the female characters tend to be negative while the male characters are more positive - for example the nursing student who is “easily flustered” leans into stereotypes that women are over-emotional. Can she not just be a successful nurse? Lastly, the hero statue discovered early in the game is, of course, a statue of a man. These are not-picky issues, but tell a story about the role of women in a survival scenario. I think these could be resolved with some choices in design by the player such as freedom to assign characters more freely to buildings, aesthetic choices in newly discovered decorations and buildings (for example the ability to choose a different statue design or even modify the aesthetics of the buildings to fit a cosmetic theme), and more strong female lead characters that aren’t wearing a bra and short shorts. Overall, I really like the game!

In actuality that’s pretty much a linear story where you are given only one objective at a time and you must do it. You’re on rails for the next five levels of your main generator, which is the center of your survival camp. When you find new characters or recruit them 75 to 85% of the time they’re automatic characters that you’re gonna get anyway so you feel that wow these are new characters but you’re gonna get them anyway story wise they’re already written into the scheme of things as the game goes on. So if you’d like a game, we’re pretty much just fulfilling the storyline without your own input this is a game for you. I am having fun with the game. I just felt as if I had no choice if I wanted to collect wood, but I can’t. I gotta do something else if I wanted to upgrade something I couldn’t do it. I had to do something else. So overall, I gave it three out of five stars.
