I see so many of these games where they claim to be fun and allow you to design your own home, character, etc, when in reality every option costs some incredibly difficult to obtain in-game currency, which means that most of the time you end up grinding for 3 hours on some miserable gameplay loop just to buy a sofa or a new hairstyle or something (crk…. cough… cough…) but this game is actually very cute, you unlock new furniture options as you level up and it’s very easy to obtain coins (the in-game currency) which means you can pretty much always afford to buy new furniture pieces. There’s fun mini games in the form of shops (fishing, coffee brewing, etc) and events that allow you to earn points doing things like growing plants or completing objectives. This helps keep the game interesting by providing something else to do aside from decorating. Plus a lot of things are time-based (for example, you need ingredients to cook a meal, so you have to wait a couple hours for them to get delivered in game) which provides an incentive to check back in every now and then without feeling pressured to get everything done at once. I honestly like how slow and calming this game is, it’s brand new but is already way better than half of the terrible scammy apps on here.
My honest review
Hellokittyhihihehe
Honestly I did not expect to love this game as much as I did. It looks pretty, many things to do and pretty easy to level up. I discovered this through an ad and thought it was more of a clothing design game. But I would say it is more of a decorating experience. There’s also an ability to talk to people and I like how no one misuses it as the community is very kind. One downside is, the game is a bit buggy. It is probably because it just launched but so far I came across one bug; I discovered the map earlier than it tasked me to and made coffees before it asked me to. I later had to press create coffees when I had no materials and got frozen. Thankfully the issue was resolved by closing the app and going back in. It is not a big issue though as it did not force me to make another coffee. There is a lot of stuff you have to buy, but so much more free stuff!! Yes, it makes the game a lot more fun if you buy passes but I am so happy that it IS NOT A PAY TO WIN!! So many games nowadays require real life money to enjoy the gameplay. My word to the developers; thank you so much for this game! It only launched today but I love it so so much!! Keep updating it and you will become very popular!
PLEASE MAKE BLUEPRINTS EASIER TO OBTAIN!!!!!!!
ComicSansLover
I have played My Leisure Time for a month now and it’s my new gaming obsession. I love everything about it, the decor, the life sim, the outfits, etc. However, I have come to realise that the blueprints for the design spaces are very hard to obtain once you run out of them. And with every free app comes some type of real life spending feature, I understand you devs have to make a living, that’s a given; If possible maybe add more to the quantity if someone does decide to pay, and not literally have to spend real life money for legit three blueprints that have a chance of getting you bummy items which you could spend in game currency for and is in my opinion, easier to do. The design spaces feature is so cool to me, there’s different decor items every couple of days, you never know what you’ll get, and it also boosts your level very high. It’s an integral part to the game if you want to level up, enter into the design voting challenge, or simply get new items. Please please please devs just think about making it easier to get the blue prints !!!!
Great game. Iffy Practices.

Great game, super cozy, and the art is very simplistic and cute. It’s the type of game that doesn’t require you to be on all day/every day, and you can get cool furniture by just playing the game, and leveling up. You can log in, do your dailies, do your tasks in the different shops, contribute to your clan, and then log out. I usually do everything before I go to bed and it’s a great way to relax and turn off your brain for a bit. There is a huge HOWEVER, thoughI started playing the game before I started seeing the ads, and yes, the ads are very misleading. You cannot customize your own clothing, and the game is not 3D. Also, the global server is very behind compared to the Chinese server, therefore there are a lot of levels/clothes/furniture that we do not have yet. It’s also the classic case that the global server gets treated arguably worse than the Chinese server; they get more rewards/freebies. While it is easy to farm for shelly coins, the premium currency used for gacha/in-shop furniture, it is not enough to guarantee you a full set/finished room in the gacha. Note that the limited banners have only been running for 11-12 days at the time I am writing this review, which is less than what is standard for most games that have gacha mechanics; the standard being about 14-25 days. I want to be lenient, since the global server has only been out for less than 3 months, and for the most part I have enjoyed my time with this game since it launched, however these practices cannot become habit; it makes a game very unattractive overtime. If My Leisure Time plays their cards right, then the global server has a lot of potential.
