NTE is a supernatural open-world RPG developed by Hotta Studio. The story begins in the city of Hethereau, where you play as its first "unlicensed" Anomaly Hunter. You'll join the crew at Eibon, a rundown antique shop that keeps the lights on by taking Anomaly commissions from anyone willing to pay. Alongside a diverse cast of extraordinary companions, you'll unravel urban mysteries, ride out adventures full of laughs and heartbreak, and write your own stories in the neon-lit streets.

Everywhere you look, there's no shortage of intriguingly "abnormal" scenes.

Exploration is what I would say is one of this games strongest points. I wouldn’t say the dialogue is annoying but there’s definitely an annoying character, but there’s a skip button if it gets unbearable so it’s not the end of the world. To me at least it doesn’t feel like a slog compared to other gachas, at least as of now, the games still in its honeymoon phase so things can definitely change but there’s so much to do and actual incentives besides gacha currency or building characters that I feel other gachas lack. I was way more invested in getting cash to get a sick bike than finding every source of gacha pulls or min maxing for endgame and I don’t think I’ve ever experienced something like that in another gacha game. I really like how in depth so many things are and how you can choose how you earn your cash, feels like there’s a lot of replay-ability here and ways to shake up the daily grind. Don’t see this becoming the kind of game you slog through just to get daily pulls and log out. As for story, it has some solid moments, but also has some questionable arcs, but it’s alright. It’s more slice of life so it’s something unique compared to most gacha stories. Wouldn’t say it moved me but it had plenty of great cutscenes and doesn’t bloat things to unnecessarily long time wasting lengths like some other games. Looks stunning and has a lot of content
In short: GTA anime-style

I anticipated this game from the moment I saw an ad a while back. It’s great, solid 8.5/10 for a gacha. I ordered a g8 galileo for my iPhone air specifically to play this, so I’m praying that it works (as I’ve heard controller UI is horrible) but the game itself is amazing. There’s so much to do, tons of quests, tons of exploring. I’d say the map size is maybe between GTA 3 and 4. You can swap to first person also, which kind of gives a Cyberpunk feel. It’s worth a download anyway. Took me about 5 hours of gameplay to truly get that hooked-I-need-to-spend-money-on-this-game feeling so take your time and enjoy the ride.Edit: just wanted to add how addictive the combat is, despite how basic it feels. There isn’t much depth, in comparison to PGR (which requires days to weeks of studying a character’s moveset/button order), but I think that’s the good thing about it. The combat is simple, yet satisfying. I sometimes dread logging in now, because I know I’ll be “locked in” … immersed for several hours wondering where time went. You can find yourself fishing one minute, battling a cardboard box monster the next, and then an hour later you’re going on a date with Mint to the movies or delivering packages for FedEx. I hope content is constantly released, because I will continue playing for a long time if so. Also, not sure if I said this or not, but it’s very nice to be able to close out the app and pick off exactly where you left off in the open world. If there is one thing at all, that I dislike about this game, it’s the character designs. Very, very, uncreative, except for Mint, a B-ranker, and Blackbird, who I highly anticipate and will blow money for her banner.
Amazing game! Some issues present…

So far, NTE is visually stunning, full of immersive storylines, and jam-packed with thrilling action. However, there are a few bugs that remain big issues. For one, the game will randomly decide to kick you out and make you fully reload and reenter the game. This can cause loss of progress if you are fighting a boss or clicking through a storyline. On another note, the map can be very confusing as there are no ways to tell depth since it is a purely black and grayscale map. Third, there are very few sources of Fons and it is difficult to get a lot early in the game. You have to unlock certain gameplay nodes to be able to fully earn a decent amount of fons. And finally, the male characters receive less opportunities for interactions. For example, some of the female characters can be invited to live in your properties once you unlock them, but none of the male characters can. I understand it is based on which characters have pajama/casual skins, but that is just another part of this particular issue. None of the male characters currently have skins. I understand it’s early in the game, but multiple of the female characters have a multitude of skins, which just shows the favor towards the female characters and potential “goonerbait”, as people call it. Hopefully these issues will be fixed in the near future so everyone can enjoy the game to the fullest!
Incredible so far

I’ve enjoyed pretty much everything about it so far. Performance is good, graphics are amazing, the setting is phenomenal, and there is a good bit to do at launch. Racing, fishing, exploring, missions, bonds/dates with characters, and probably more that will be included too. I actually found a half court basketball court on top of one of the high-rise buildings in the city that was really cool. It would be great if you could shoot a basketball around up there or something with friends but its just visual at the moment. I would also really like to have a player house at the top rural town of the map but currently limited to city apartments. Not the biggest fan of how many characters are part animal but it doesn’t take away from the experience of the characters or personalities as far as I can tell. I personally play the game with the Chinese audio, not the English audio, but vocals and sound are really good from what I can tell. Excited to see more characters, hobbies, houses, and story as this game grows.
