The Nafs app has been a really good introduction to what an Islamic app should be. One thing I noticed right away is the variety of different sheikhs you can listen to. My favorite right now is Sheikh Juhany, and I really like how they added a vintage style audio to his recitations it makes the experience feel deeper and more meaningful. The Muslim essentials feature is also a great idea and very helpful for staying consistent. It’s only been a week, but I’ve already learned things that are helping me build a stronger foundation in my iman. May Allah make it easy upon you all on running this project. Ameen ya rab. NAFS 2 THE MOON!

May Allah reward you for this beautiful message!Reading feedback like this genuinely means the world to us. We spent a lot of time making sure the Quran experience felt intentional and immersive, so hearing that you noticed the vintage-style recitation touch honestly makes us really happy. The goal with nafs has always been to make practicing Islam feel accessible, beautiful, and consistent without overwhelming people. Keep an eye out this week as well!! We’re rolling out a major Quran redesign and overall experience upgrade that we think you’ll really love.May Allah continue to strengthen you in your iman and allow us all to grow together. Ameen ya Rab!
A success! But one thing

Alhamduillah, it’s soooo nice finding an app that feels tailored to me! No ads and it feels personal! My only “complaint” is I wish when it came to the Quran, there was a translation + transliteration with it. Memorizing Quran is something I want to be consistent on especially If I have my phone with me at all times but due to my lack of understanding Arabic letters.. it is much harder and I know I would have used this much more if there was that option! Nonetheless, it’s a beautiful app and I absolutely love how it’s accommodating due to the cycle tracker for sisters as well! I sincerely hope soon there can be a transliteration + translation section though !! Jazakallah Khair 🤍
Developer Response
JazakAllahu khair for the kind words and for taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback!!nafs actually already includes both Quran translations and transliterations. You can access them by going to the Read page, selecting a reciter from either the "Most Popular" section or the full reciter list, then tapping the three dots in the top right corner to customize the text reader settings and enable translations or transliterations. That said, feedback like yours has shown us that these features aren't as easy to find as they should be. We're improving their discoverability in this week's update, inshaAllah so more people can benefit from them. We're also shipping a major redesign and functionality upgrade to the cycle tracker this week, with a much-improved experience for our sisters.Thank you again for your support, and may Allah make your Quran journey easy, consistent, and rewarding.
Beautiful App, But Needs Flexible Prayer Logging
Ahed E.
I recently started using Nafs and I genuinely love it. The design is beautiful, it feels very intentional, and it has so many helpful features for prayer and Quran tracking. It’s honestly one of the best Islamic apps I’ve seen in terms of aesthetics and overall experience. However, there’s one issue that makes it difficult to use consistently: the inability to log a prayer after its time window has passed.Sometimes people forget to log their prayer in the moment, even if they prayed on time. Right now, if you miss that window, you can’t go back and log it later; which makes the tracking feel inaccurate and a bit discouraging. It would really improve the app if users could log prayers retroactively or manually adjust their prayer log for the day. Even a simple “log missed entry” or edit option would make a big difference.I truly love the app and want to keep using it, so I hope this feature can be considered in a future update.
Developer Response
Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback. Edited after (v1.03) May 27, 2026: We’ve added an “I prayed this” button for flexible prayer logging.Original: In our next update, we’re adding the ability to manually bypass missed prayer expiry windows if you weren’t able to log it on time. Our original intention with the current system was to encourage logging salah before the window expires, which is also why we added optional salah expiry reminders and wudu notifications to help users stay on track throughout the day. That being said, we completely understand your point. Life happens, and we never want the experience to feel discouraging or inaccurate for someone genuinely trying their best.
Convenient, Simple, and Amazing!

As a new convert to Islam, I find this app to be very welcoming and I’ve been using this app to accelerate my learning as well! It’s very nice to have all this content and have the ability to track everything all within a single app. I also like how simple and easy it is to navigate. All in all, this is an amazing app and I find it to be extremely helpful, mashAllah!
Developer Response
