Niyat is your daily Muslim companion. Read and listen to the Quran, keep up with prayer, fall asleep to recitation, and put an ayah between you and the apps that steal your time. Everything you need for a steady practice, in one calm place.
AYAH LOCK
Pick the apps that pull you in. When you open one, Niyat asks you to read an ayah first. Read it, and the app opens. Once a day or every time, your choice. A few seconds of Quran before the scroll, every day.
FALL ASLEEP TO THE QURAN
Choose a surah, set the sleep timer, and end the night with recitation instead of a feed. Word-by-word highlighting during the day, a gentle fade at night.
WAKE UP FOR FAJR
A Fajr alarm built for the hardest prayer. Set it before or after Fajr, choose recitation, a chime, or a rising tone, and turn on the ten-step walk if you need help getting out of bed.
PRAYER TIMES THAT FOLLOW YOU
Accurate, location-based times for Fajr through Isha, a countdown to the next prayer, reminders before each one, and a Qibla compass for wherever you are.
READ AND FINISH THE QURAN
Read with translation and transliteration. Set a khatm goal and finish at your own pace, with your place saved and your progress in view.
LISTEN AND FOLLOW ALONG
Recitation from renowned reciters, with every word highlighted as it is recited. Play it on the commute, in the kitchen, or in the evening.
AN AYAH ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN
Start the day with a verse. Lock screen and home screen widgets, prayer wallpapers, and a daily ayah that changes with you.
ASK WITH SOURCES
Ask any Islamic question, from wudu to inheritance, and get a clear answer with citations from the Quran, Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and classical fiqh, drawn from over 11,786 texts. Choose your madhab, Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki, or Hanbali, and open the sources behind every answer. Not a replacement for a scholar, but a fast way to authentic knowledge.
A GENTLE DAILY RHYTHM
Set your niyah each morning, follow a personalized daily plan, and keep going with streaks that encourage rather than nag.
ALSO IN NIYAT
- Curated dua library: morning and evening adhkar, travel, protection, guidance, daily life
- Distraction-free tasbih counter
- Sign in with Apple, Google, or email to keep your progress across devices. Optional; Niyat works fully as a guest
- Family Sharing on the annual plan
- Full interface in English, Arabic, Bengali, Urdu, and French, with right-to-left support
READ TOGETHER
Finish a khatm with family or friends. Start a shared read, send a link, and everyone takes a few parts. A dedication if you want one, a reminder date if you need one. You only see the parts, never a score, and no one is ever shown as late.
BUILT ON AUTHENTIC SOURCES
Unlike generic chatbots, Niyat's knowledge base is curated from recognized Islamic texts, and every answer cites its sources: Quran ayat, specific hadith references, established fiqh rulings.

As a college student I’ve always “struggled” to pray on time and make excuses as to why I missed prayers when in reality I was wasting time scrolling on my phone. This app blocks social medias and any app you are addicted to and won’t unlock it until you say you’ve prayed. Of course if you lie you only harm and cheat yourself. Another thing is I’ve been able to wake up for fajr much more and read more of the Quran. If there is an app that you download or a subscription you pay ask yourself how much it’ll help you and make you a better person. This is one of the apps that has truly made me closer to Allah swt and more knowledgeable about my deen. I truly recommend this app to any one of any age who is struggling or even wants to organize their deen more.
Developer Response
JazakAllah khair for sharing this. Hearing that you're praying on time and waking up for Fajr more is exactly why we built Niyat. May Allah keep you steadfast and put barakah in your studies. 🤍

Misleading

It doesn’t say anywhere that you have to pay. It makes you go through the whole process of getting information about your intentions, to only request payment after going through the entire process. I wish they made deen apps that were free if they truly wanted to help people get closer to Allah. I understand nothing in this life is free, however, when it comes to Islam, we should be able to give all people access to information and assistance/support. It shouldn’t come with a price tag.
Developer Response
Assalamu alaikum, thank you for this honest feedback. You are right that this should be clear before you spend time on the setup, and we will take it on board. We also believe access to the deen should not depend on money. That is why we offer a free scholarship to anyone who asks, with no conditions. We have given out over 500 free memberships. Please request one at niyatapp.com/scholarship. Jazakum Allahu khayran.
Not Reliable

This app has too many errors and very hard to reach support. Major red flag as the prayer time on the app does not match their own listed time. Additionally the recorded of the dua for sleep for example do not match whats written on their own. Really wanted to give benefit but one too many error to make me trust your app.
Developer Response
As-salamu alaykum. Thank you for the honest feedback, and we are sorry the app fell short of your trust. If you are open to it, please email support@niyatapp.com so we can make this right for you personally.
