Listen to PDFs, books and articles, or type and let Speak4Me speak for you. 120+ lifelike AI voices in 20+ languages.
Speak4Me is a text to speech app that does two things: it reads aloud anything you want to listen to, and it speaks out loud anything you type. Listen to PDFs, documents, books, web articles and photos of printed pages – or type a message and let Speak4Me say it for you, in 120+ natural AI voices.

SPEAK: TYPE TO SPEAK
• Type and Speak4Me talks for you – Write what you want to say and it is spoken out loud instantly, in the voice and language you choose.
• A voice when you need one – Made for people who have lost their voice, have a speech disability, are recovering from a stroke, or find it hard to speak in some moments. Use it to talk face to face, at the doctor, in a shop or on the phone.

This is like older versions

This feels like older versions of this app. It feels like I’m into the evolution. It’s best to add third-party voices, and don’t forget to ask for permission and license voices from a cappella, and other speech synthesis. Integrated into 1/3 body speech synthesizer that you can use with any app that uses text to speech for iOS, such as This app, as well as some accessibility features, and some applications like blindfold games, to really naturalize the experience to an optimize level. For some speech synthesizes, I mean like for all of them, there should be a button that’s the button which is just the settings for the third-party speech synthesis. The voice label would be Icon 24 black, because the settings icon would be black then for all speech synthesizer you get weight, volume, pitch, and pause duration. For other speech synthesizes you may get things like inflection and beyond these abilities. And for a cappella, you can talk of vocal smiley, Which means if they are off, instead of letting them into the text, instead the word pound is instead of having a sign like usual being output, resulting in. But when it’s on, it will lead in any piece of texting including speech tags and sounds. The last function of future would be a new voice cloning feature that can handle more voices, in more seconds. All you need to do is specify some variance of the voice. All you need to specify is the gender, age, an accent, and it will try to get it right based on. Without these adjustments, how did this is useful for replicating for example a teenagers voice without causing it to sound like an older female voice. And adaptive cause automatically. Adaptive mode can be done in settings as well

The voices in the app sound congested
✨💜💜✨
I really like the app because I hate reading and it’s relatively cheap compared to other apps. I only have the pro version of the app, but the voices all sound congested when reading 😭 I was using ChatGPT to read stuff to me at first, but it stopped working and would cut out in the middle of reading so I switched to this. It isn’t bad, I just can’t pick a voice that doesn’t sound like they’re struggling to read the text or needs to clear their throat. I can’t understand what they say too well when I try to make it read faster, but that’s okay with me. I just get impatient sometimes, lol. Also, the app will pause itself if you try to play games like Minecraft or Roblox while listening. It’s pretty normal, but you can’t unpause it like you can do with music. As far as I can tell at least. It doesn’t really get emotional tones and it’s pretty bland, but it’s better than that one robot voice that reads to you when taking a test or whatever. The app is pretty decent for what it’s meant to do, but if you’re picky then I’d suggest playing with the ultra version of it or just using a different app overall.
Not nearly as good as Speechify-but cheaper!

When Speechify wanted over $200 a year I went looking for a second option. I found Speak4me and it’s a little more affordable. I have been trying out apps that I might recommend to clients with voice disorders. It’s a powerful app for those who need a voice but aren’t able to speak. I personally use it to read articles to me. It saves me time if I can read while I’m getting ready or walking. Just fyi: I do think it has a lot of room for growth, but I’m hopeful they’ll get there. It freezes frequently, the premium voices still sound pretty robotic with some pronunciation errors, and you can currently only upload files from dropbox or iCloud. In Speechify you can upload files directly into it from Canvas, but you can’t do that with Speak4me. This would be a game changing feature! They say updates on these are coming soon, but they’ve been saying that for 3 months now.
Performance improvements that make the app feel faster and more responsive. Expect smoother navigation, quicker load times, and more reliable day-to-day use, so you can spend less time waiting and more time getting things done.
