Ratings and Reviews
Great app, bought it 'on the spot', but:
Liked what I was able to do, lots of exploration left, too! One little niggle, though: because Apple makes file-extensions sort of "whatever", it renamed a jpg from my phone to jpeg when I *shared it to my iPad.... That's fine, even though the OS hides file extensions from users and won't allow changing them directly!
But when I wrote a quick shortcut to open a selected photo from the "camera roll" (old terminology) the action failed; it or the system displayed an error claiming that Imaengine could not handle files with the "Unknown Filetype '.jpeg'". How stupid is that? A failure of sytem flexibility.
I guess the developer has to add jpeg file-types as acceptable input. Seriously, a jpeg is a jpg. This was news in 1992? Please add the ability to input files with the jpg, jpeg, jpe, and other names for jay-pegs!! It would be great if we could have the ability to name the file extension of saved (*shared in Applese) work-files. It would be really cool if we could save directly (*share as) .jpg .jpeg (or .gif or .pdf, possibly other vector formats). That's a lot to ask, but as I'm a 'creative', boundaries are difficult for me....
Love it but it crashes a lot.
Would love to give 5 stars but even a 13 second video crashes it even before rendering. Please update thankssssss
Hooooooooooly wow!
I downloaded this app on the recommendation of Liz Koehler Brown (on Skillshare) who uses it for her vector work in Affinity Designer. From my first photo vectorization I was blown away! Great vectorization immediately, and utterly easy and intuitive to edit nodes and use in-app erasers and brushes. Free to download but I immediately looked to see how to support with $ in-app ($3.99 for ability to export).
Absolutely delighted with this and it’s going to make my design work FAR easier and faster. For those who have used Adobe Illustrator “convert to vectors”, this seems better and faster to me. Super happy and grateful to Luis. The world is a crappy place right now but for digital artists it is a golden age.
