Love it!
I am not crazy about it reading. But app makes so easy to keep going. You read with the reader. I did the first 164 pages in less than two weeks. I realize some people can read it in a day or two. But for me less than a couple weeks is excellent. Love this app!
Listen and learn
I have always listened to speaker tapes throughout my entire 41 years of continuing sobriety. My sobriety date is April 15, 1978.
My most emphatic message to newcomers is:
“Relapse is NOT a necessary part of recovery”!
In my early years I listened to speaker tapes in my car coming and going to wherever, however short or long the trip, whenever I was doing housework, or when enjoying my favorite hobbies - sewing and painting.
I listened, I took notes, and I shared what I learned from specific speakers at my meetings and later with sponsees.
They never get old, and I never get too old or too sober not to learn more!!!
Joe & Charlie
These talks by Joe & Charlie are the absolute best. Told in very humble, real manners, these tapes are filled with such valuable insights into alcoholism & recovery. Especially enjoyed Doctor’s Opinion series and discussion related to allergies and obsessive compulsion to drink that differentiates us drunks from “normal” drinkers. I can relate so well
