With MaX UC, you can take control of your home or office telephony services on any device, wherever you are.

For the past year we have focused on making our MaX UC apps more accessible. Important enhancements like supporting landscape mode, large font size and full screen reader support means that MaX UC meets the WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines. This is an important milestone that helps us to support all our users, no matter their access needs.

Microphone stays active

Tends to leave your microphone active. I notice constantly on the latest iOS that even after a call finishes the microphone is still active until I force the app closed. Users should beware that it may be listening to you and those around you. Pay attention to the Mic icon at the top of your phone.

Trash!

The mobile app for Max UC doesn’t function properly. When I try to answer a call on the iPhone app, it sends the call to voicemail, then it makes me open the app to try to pull the call and it disconnects the caller from my voicemail and fails to connect the call. I have tried logging out and logging back in, deleting the app and reinstalling it. But nothing works. I am essentially unable to answer an incoming call, and forced to let all calls go to voicemail, and call the caller back. This is very impractical and makes the app useless. Please fix this so the app is functional! I have submitted so many reports through the app and it hasn’t been fixed! I wouldn’t use this app if my job didn’t require it. Makes it impossible to my job appropriately. What’s the point of having a phone app version that doesn’t work!

Great App

Max UC is a solid app. Most of the issues people have with it are related to their internet or their service provider. As someone who works for an ISP and uses MAX UC for all work calls I have found it very effective. Metaswitch is good about fixing bugs if you submit a report to your telecom provider and a bug report within the app. For internet issues ping 1.1.1.1 -t in CMD or ping plotter on Windows or MTR/ping on Linux. Any dropped packets or major latency/jitter will cause issues with MAX UC that or the fault of the internet and not the app. All in all I think it is a great client.
