Encrypt & decrypt sensitive files with powerful AES protection. Secure documents & photos locally or in the cloud — simple, private, cross-platform file security.
AESCrypt for iOS lets you decrypt and preview files encrypted with AESCrypt.com on your iPhone or iPad. Open encrypted files from Dropbox, Drive, Email, and other apps with ease.
An in-app upgrade enables encryption directly from your device — protect documents, photos, and more, then share securely to your favorite cloud service.
AESCrypt uses the industry-standard Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to provide strong, cross-platform file security across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile devices.
Whether you’re backing up sensitive files to the cloud or storing private documents locally, AESCrypt gives you simple, powerful protection.

What do you do if you have, say, five encrypted documents to modify ?You import every single one of them into AESCrypt, type the password, export to the editor app, make changes, import back to AESCrypt, delete from the editor app, type the password twice, export to your cloud storage, delete from AESCrypt. For every single document. If you only need to view them, say you're trying to find a particular note saved in one of your monthly statements, that's easier. Export the document to AESCrypt, type the password, for every single one of them. If you're using a strong password >10 random characters, it becomes a real fun after a while. And don't forget to erase the docs from the app once you're done. Now, all of this could be made much easier by typing a password once per session, and using TouchID to apply it. Until then, it's only really useful for emailing an odd file or two. Oh, and your recipient better have administrator rights on his computer since there's no portable Windows version. A great concept but hindered by the interface design choices

Great app for encryption

This is well worth it if you ever need to send documents securely over the web. With iOS 11, would it be possible to include a batch encryption feature? I would like to take serveral little documents and encypt them all together. Thanks. Also, I see no way to send comments or requests through your web site. When you get there, it doesn’t even seem like it’s your web site!
A Great Way to Secure Files

I started using this app after using another one that performed similar functions but was being converted to a subscription service. This app works even better, is very simple to use, is well supported by its developer, and its basic form, which is free, handles my needs.
• Fixed an issue where files sent to AES Crypt wouldn’t always appear in the app
• Added a new setting to optionally disable the encrypt/decrypt popup when sending files
• Improved purchase page legal text for Dark Mode
