I’m sorry I can’t be more supportive of this app, but I appreciate the effort. I purchased a week’s worth of premium for $3.99 to try it out, and the best match it gave me for a shark tooth was “trilobite.” The other matches were shark teeth, but included incorrect species. Other identifications also lacked accuracy. I was hoping to use the app to catalog my finds more quickly for a permit renewal, but the results are just too inaccurate and limited. It is fun, and I hope the database improves through member contribution, but it won’t help serious amateurs at this time, July 2025.

The information this app provides is useful but the answer it gives you changes each time you upload the same picture. Also, because it makes you buy a subscription after two searches, I decided to purchase the 3.99/week subscription. Tell me why I get a notification that my card was charged $83? The address linked to my previous $3.99 (+tax) purchase was the same as the mysterious $83 charge. I had to cancel the card. Thanks, frauds! Don't get this app unless you want your information stolen!

I’ve been playing this since January 2025 and it is very fun. But my dad had to pay 83 dollars to keep the app. You can make it charge but can you just lower it down to 20 dollars? But everything else is good. This helps me learn about fossils instead of guessing.
