FLOOD PREVENTION LeaksProtect Jeweller notifies users of a pipe break, a washing machine leak, or an overflowing bathtub. WaterStop Jeweller automatically shuts off the water if LeaksProtect Jeweller or a third-party water leak detector is triggered. Control WaterStop Jeweller and check its status from anywhere in the world via the Ajax app. Create a scenario to shut off the water at a specific time or when arming the system. Unusable Apple Watch app. Hard to use on iphone

Let me say first that I do like Ajax product for its reliability (battery and SIM card for hub), variety of sensors, ease of installation and price.However the apps for phone and especially watch are written with utter disregard for usability. Cryptic error messages, very small font, very bad icons (a circle with a small opening, grey on white - impossible to see on small screen or without reading glasses). No explanation what night mode is. Errors when one locks (or unlocks) twice. A font used is hard to read on My large Xr.Apple Watch app is most problematic. It seem to require a phone nearby. I often go outside with watch on my hand and my main phone at home, while I approach the door, my watch senses wifi from inside and my phone too, still, it blinks“Connecting..” message and cannot unlock. I had to resort to calling my girlfriend to unlock, or a remote control :)And the watch app does require “hard press” on screen, which is totally non-intuitive. Also, it does not confirm locking and unlocking action by distinct text or sound - only that “broken” circle.There are standard icons for On and Off status, or Locked/Unlocked. Why reinvent the wheel?

Missing Important Feature

I’ll start by saying that the app is overall good and has a nice UI. That said, it simply is unacceptable that an app that needs to interact with alarm systems does not have yet iOS widgets to interact with said alarms. Also, the geofencing feature (which could be a game changer) seems to me a bit primitive since it apparently doesn’t interact with iOS maps API and requires a constant location permissions, which seems excessive and an issue on battery life. Also, last time I checked the geofence wouldn’t be able to devise whether some else was still in the house. Hence the automation would not be functional at all. Instead I would suggest a higher level of integration with Apple HomeKit and iOS to solve many of the above issue. And to reiterate, widgets were already a must in 2023…

I bought an Ajax system off the back of previous comments by the company clearly stating they definitely plan to bring Homekit support. They seemed to have reversed this now, saying they are not planning to do so. Lesson is to not buy products from a company based on promises of future features, but only buy something when you are satisfied with what it currently offers.Homekit integration is the nr 1 requested feature on their website as well.
