Love it!

We have started using Aldelo express for about 4 months now and we love it. I would say that it has given my store a 15%-20% increase in profits. Great support I have never waited more than 5 minutes. Super easy to train new staff 15-30 minutes and they are ready to go, would highly recommend Aldelo Express specially if you are just starting out and on a budget all you need is an iPad, printer and credit card machine and you are ready to go.

Awful in so many ways

Split ticket function is terrible. No in house tender options. Reports are inaccurate and cc funds might be deposited today, tomorrow, or the next day. It’s an adventure with aldelo and I highly recommend this software if you enjoy not being able to accept credit cards for half an hour because you hit the 28 hour batch limit.

Their “24/7 support” will work tirelessly to help figure out how any issue is your fault and not their software. It’s exciting every time an update comes out I can look forward to new an unusual error messages.

Also- their support can’t do anything related to finances (including fixing the PAX device they sold you) outside mon-fri 9-5. Restaurant software. Business hours only. Highly recommended if you want to lose your whole staff and several years off your life.

Sorry to hear you had technical concerns. Our split check function is actually rather simple, you just click settle and click the split button.

In regard to 28 hour batch hold, that’s because the current batch had not closed yet. To avoid batch hold, you can easily setup the auto batching feature under settings.

Finally, as you know deposit of your funds are based on when you close your batch. The acquiring bank for whom you have the merchant services controls the funding schedule. Typically you will see deposits every banking day (Monday - Friday), but again if you did not batch close it will delay the funding.

Sleek but please drag and drop

It’s a good system. It works. It’s very very smooth on the iPads, easy to use too. I was referred to by a friend of mine who also owns a restaurant and uses the PC version. He raves about Aldelo. Like I said, it’s a good system but a massive flaw though is the check splitting system. Yes it works, but it’s not very efficient or the best way to split a check. A drag and drop feature would go a long way. I’ve heard they have the drag and drop feature of splitting checks on the PC version but not the iPad version. Please please please take this into consideration it would be a big feature and a big help for restaurants!!
