Before the update 1.0.4 this app was not great on iOS. Multiple issues logging in and scanning cards. Sometimes you had to delete and re-download the app just to get it to work.

But now, everything is fixed. Seriously, it’s living up to what they promised and then some. The game doesn’t launch until September 13th anyways so this was effectively a beta stress test for bugs, and now they’ve resolved the issues. I think everyone who has given a poor review should try the app in its current state and give it a new, fair review.

I also initially had login issues when I got the app, but the most recent update has resolved this. Using the mass scan with the app is quicker and easier than I expected, so imo the app is doing what it is meant to.

I understand it’s still early but with people receiving their kickstarter pledges the app needs to do the basics well. This is especially critical given the unique role the app will play with this game for collecting, trading, ordering foil versions of cards etc.

The app unfortunately is more of a “web page in an app” and has that “clunky” feeling while logging in constantly (if it lets you) and navigating between “pages”. I understand this is the quickest way to get an app built and published, but it will plague the user experience until a real app is built.

I truly hope they can make this a seamless experience before global launch or what could be a revolutionary new type of gaming framework won’t even make it past set one.
